He doesn't exhibit any tendencies to that nature. It makes no sense to put it in ME3.

There is no reason why Gay Shepard should not be included in ME3, other than the devs not putting it in. Those that are making the claim that Shepard cannot be gay suddenly because he is Shepard? I'd like to point you to FemShep and Kelly. If we are to believe in the BioWare exposition that Asari/FemShep relations are not F/F because they are not 'female,' then the relationship with Kelly allows for FemSheps to 'suddenly' become bisexual or lesbian in the series with a HUMAN. There is no refuting that.
Considering that Kaidan was originally going to be a m/m option, and the rumors that Thane/DudeShep romance lines were discovered in ME2, I do not find issue with Shepard having a m/m option in ME3 out of the ordinary at all. It is completely within the Shepard character to be because of the planning stages including Kaidan as m/m. That Kaidan is now strictly straight does not mean that Shepard has to be strictly hetero or lesbian or xenophilic. That a m/m option has not yet presented itself also does not mean that Shepard cannot be gay.
You're just inferencing what you want out of nothing. There is no m/m option. There hasn't been. There shouldn't be one in ME3.
There is no way for Shepard to all of a sudden go ****** in ME3, when all his options were clearly straight in ME1 and ME2.
Those are your options. Space player Shepard that chases after skirts more often than he should, or mission focused Shepard that doesn't have time for a relationship because of the whole end-of-the-galaxy thing going on.
You don't get option C. It would ruin the entire character. Deal with it.
Commander Shepard locked himself in the closet.

it actually makes sense. a quarien would not normally have a relationship with a human. only after your entire experience in me1 and a big chunk of me2 does a relationship develop between shepherd and tali.
in me1 you can romance ashley and liara. having a relationship with a human would make sense, and asari are known for pursuing relationships with other species.

I never actually bothered asking how you felt about this Endurance. So are you against the inclusion of a male gay option for M!Shep or not?

So let's say I play ME1 and ME2 with a male Shepherd, with the approach that I'm gay. Throughout both games, I do not engage in romances with any of the female characters. I don't even flirt with them. I ignore the Consort in ME1, even though she's the best lay in the galaxy (apparently). Still, because none of the male squadmates in the first two games are gay, they don't try to flirt with me, and I don't flirt with them (since my Shep's respectful of other people's personal sexual preferences). This means that as far as my Shep is concerned, he's a gay male, but there haven't been any other gay males aboard ship, so there hasn't been any opportunity for romance in the first two games.
Now, let's say Bioware decides to introduce a homosexual male character in the last installment of the trilogy. How is it now out of character for my Shephard to flirt/have a relationship with this character? The way I've played him from the start is as a chaste gay man with no viable partners, not as a heterosexual man.
I do think it would be out of character for any of the existing male squadmates to all of the sudden start acting romantically interested in a male Shep, but because Shep's character is based so much on an individual player's choices, I can't see how it would ruin his character for Bioware to introduce a possible gay male love interest in ME3. People talk about ruining Shepherd's character, but what character? He can be completely different from one person to the next. He doesn't exist outside of the person controlling him (nor does he really exist at all, but that's getting philosophical...).
BTW, I'm a heterosexual female, but I do hope that Bioware gives the gay gamers an option of a LI in ME3. Everyone else has got their chance for luv, with the exception of the Volus/Elcor/Hanar/AI fetishists (but fingers, crossed for the last game, eh guys?)

Nope, I wouldn't care if they had it in or not, it's just people thinking that Bioware has to include it to make it right that upset me.

I'm not anti-gay, I believe that what you do behind closed doors is your choice. But when your choice happens to show up in protests and whining, then it gets annoying.
And you're not against black people as long as they know their place? You're not against women as long as they stay home barefoot and pregnant? You're not against Amerinds as long as they stay on the Reservation? Pardon if the world intrudes on your private reverie.
What Shepard was has nothing to do with the options he was given. From these threads it appears that more than a few people were expecting additional options in ME2.

I agree with this, I don't want the male characters flirting with my Shepard like Zevran in DA:O. It would be totally out of place in the ME world.
What. So there are no gay people in the Mass-Effect universe. Good to know.
