Hello,

I am seeking for help to solve one problem that has been bugging me for a long time.

This problem started when I bought Mass Effect 1 about one year ago. At that time I had bought a PC with the following specs:

OS                        at that time was Windows Vista

Memory (RAM)      4096 MB

CPU Info                Intel® Core™2 Duo CPU E7400 @ 2.80GHz

CPU Speed            2797,0 MHz

Sound card            ATI HDMI Output (ATI High Defin

Display Adapters    ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series | ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series | RDPDD Chained DD | RDP Encoder   Mirror Driver | RDP Reflector Display Driver

Motherboard          ASUSTeK Computer INC. P5QL-ASUS-SE

The problem I had (and still have) is that all the menus flicker and all the character textures also flicker and aren´t well defined.

This was very odd to happen since no other game showed the same problem ( and by other games I mean Crysis, WoW, Call of Duty, Half Life, Battleforge, ...)

I tryed several drivers for the display adapter and also tryed to see if the was any problems during instalation, but in the end nothing changed and nothing seems to be wrong. I even took the PC to a Computers shop and the technician guy did some test on the PC and nothing wrong showed up. Also tryed different video definitions but the some flickering showed up.

At that point I was really pissed and gave up of the idea of playing it in this PC.

Now I bought Dragon Age and Mass Effect 2 thinking that "for sure these games are new and I have Windows 7, so they will run perfectly on my PC" and unfortunaly I was terribly wrong... The flickering problem also happens in these games.

I started to doubt that the problem was not in my PC and looked up for more info the internet and for my surprise this problem do happen in other PCs with a spec similar to mine.

To rule out any doubts I installed the same games in a laptop with the following specs:

OS                         Windows 7 Home Premium (64)

Memory (RAM)       4096 MB

CPU Info                AMD Turion™ X2 Ultra Dual-Core Mobile ZM-84 2.30 GHz

CPU Speed            2330,8 MHz

Sound card
           Realtek High Defi

Display Adapters
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4500 Series

Motherboard          TOSHIBA KSWAE

And the games in this laptop work just fine. Of course they can´t run on full graphics but they run without any flickering or any texture problems.

I must stress that I also installed the respective patches for Dragon Age and Mass Effect 1 and the problems still percists in the PC.

All in all I hope somebody can help me with this situation otherwise I won´t be able to enjoy the game fully, which is very anoying since this PC shoul be more than able to run all these game without any problem.

If nobody can help me I hope that Bioware can solve this problem in a close future.

Thank you for your time!
