Ended up trusting - and liking - the ME1 characters the most. Most of the others ended up equally good, safe for Miranda, Samara and Jacob. Miranda turned out to be the self-centered b**** i expected her to be, Samara was a bit too...Superheroine for my liking. The biotic Superpowers, the dress, the habit of meditating with that power orb...just too much over the top imo.
And Jacob, well....he was basically just some guy standing in my Armory

Jack was one of the most complex characters, I loved her battle screams and any chick with a complicated love-hate romance (Ashley) is more interesting than the more straight forward Tali who I loved in ME1.

[Shepard Lives]

Difficult list to make. Oh well, I'll try.

1- Thane. I like everything about him. He's my best videogame friend.
2- Legion. The very concept of him is a shining pile of awesome. The character itself is even better.
3- Mordin. Funny as hell, and the whole "blurred morality" thing he has going on is fantastic and very compelling.
4- Grunt. Again, a character with an interesting concept - the perfect Krogan who tries to understand how to live. He has very cool dialogue. Plus I'm his battlemaster, he gives me a strong feeling that he would follow me into hell without blinking once.
5- Garrus and Jacob. They're essentially on the same level for me- strong fighters and loyal friends.
6- Jack. I actually found her kinda underwhelming (then again, I haven't romanced her yet, so I may change my mind about her in the future), but she's better than the characters listed below.
7- Miranda. I thought she would have been worse, instead I found her very professional and determined and not some spoiled b*tch. Her rump remains the most noteworthy thing about her though.
8- Samara. Her concept is good, but not as good as the others. At the same position: Tali. She lacks something I can't put my finger on. I just can't bring myself to find her interesting.
9- Zaeed. Meh.

And as I why love Zaeed, he reminds me of canderos from KOTOR, and the war stories are awesome. I just wish you could talk to him.

Even Joker has good things to say about Tali.. not to mention from one of his ME2 convos he seemed to have a lil crush on her LOL.... I liked everyone though. But Tali, Jack (she's badass but deep, it's a coverup), and Grunt are all awesome.. not to mention Garrus.. I mean who doesn't like Garrus? He's so loyal and looks up to you.... there's no bad crew member, Joker is a fav although you can't take him with you, I think Seth Green kicked ass with his role in ME1 and ME2 and made Joker a must-have crew member..... I also liked Liara in the first one, her and Tali rolled with my Vanguard on several play throughs.... Grunt is actually a few cool krogan.... he's smart too. When him and Wrex got in each other's faces and had nothing but respect, I thought it was cool...

Jack's recruiting and also side quest were some of my fav missions in the game.... so pretty much my post is useless, I think they're all great characters... some I prefer over others but that's bcuz of their personalities and abilities, the actors and creators did a great job with this.

Geth shield, plus Jack's party warp ammo.... with Grunt spamming his fortification he stayed a live throughout most of my Insanity playthrough... rarely did he drop, I collected more +100 credits than I did actual medi-gels bcuz I rarely had use any having a beast like that in my party.... although I did most of the work in each battle, he can take a lot of damage so you don't have to worry about him too much.... and Jack's warp ammo really helps a lot.... I'd say I had enough health boosts so even though Miranda was a popular early choice for me, after I upgraded a lot I really didn't see the need... however she is very useful too. Tali plus Legion on Legions loyalty quest = win.


Garrus also proved to be a great leader.... my first playthrough was on Insanity and everyone made it out fine and everyone was rescued (even the engineers near Tali... I checked after the game ended and let me continue playing)...  all I'd hear him say was "Good job"  stuff like that.... very positive and seemed to keep the team together when it mattered most.... a very valuable teammate without a doubt.  Can't wait to get Liara back into the game though.. if she does come back eventually.... her plus Tali had some great convos in ME1 just riding the elevators....  I'd also like to see how she gets along with Jack and Miranda..... should be interesting.

Miranda and Legion both have the best potential to be expanded on via DLC or ME3. Legion with the heretical geth and the relationships with the quarians and Miranda for the Cerberus connections.
Mordin provides great insight into the genophage and his reasoning behind it makes complete sense (sorry Krogans but you need your spacegear taken away).
Garrus and Thane had interesting stories but I doubt there is much more you can do with them.
Samara, Jack, and Grunt didn't provide much to the overall story but at least were interesting characters. I wish Zaeed had a dialogue tree. He could've ended up in the top five if he had something to say.
For my malesheps, Jacob is just too normal to be any higher. Theres nothing wrong with him but his character doesn't really evoke any emotions at all. I meh him.
Tali is the most uninteresting quarian in the entire ME series. Kal'Reegar is more captivating for his five minutes of gametime (the logistics of a quarian marine force is intriguing). Quarians have a great setting with the flotilla and thier relationships with the geth and its such a shame that I'm forced to talk to Tali. I'd airlock her if I could.

Im not saying the writing is bad on Jack, I even did a romance run on her to see what her char was like. The writing is good I just really really do not like her char.  Now Garrus and Jacob are my bro's, it was a Bromance. Althought I do prefer Garrus in ME 1, I loved to see how he changed.  Now with Tali I can't tell which Bioware lady I like the most Bastilla or Tali. They were the only 2 romances in a bioware game I have ever liked. To some fanboys/fangirls 11 - 15 I honestly cannot stand one bit, if i could i'd leave them to die everytime. These are my preferences and opinions so no bashing please.
