I always found that Wrex in mass effect 1 was like a beast in battle and in mass effect 2 Grunt is the same he never dies. I think once you have a Kogan in party all is good Grunt just soaks up so much damage even from mini bosses which rockets. I sent him to solo a mini bosses he made mince meat out of it he even more of a beast loyal.
