Will somebody help me? I can't run patch 1.04 I can't install it on my computer with Win7 Ultimate 64-bit. It says "NSSIS Error: installer integrity check"
Just from a random Googling: http://nsis.sourcefo..._get_NSIS_Error
It looks like NSIS is some sort of installer package. You probably have a corrupted download, or something's interfering with the installation. I'd try to re-download the patch, scan it with your antivirus program, and then try to install the new patch file. I don't think I had to change the program compatibility settings when I patched to 1.04 (Win 7 32 bit), but if a re-download doesn't fix your problem, you might want to set compatibility mode to Windows XP Service Pack 2 and make sure the patch runs as administrator.
Side note: I do remember once running into problems back in my old McAfee days with something that used NSIS (Nullsoft Scriptable Install System) due to a false-positive detection. If all else fails, disable your antivirus when you install the patch.

CPU in the Task Manager shows that it's running at 100% (which is of course, relative and not a good measurement). I was thinking it was a rendering issue, but with bartoni33's excellent specs on his system I would start to say this problem is no longer "fairly unique".

Did you try playing in windowed mode (with graphic settings low, audio off through configurator) and if so, did it help?Erelas wrote...
I have a "shockingly" similar issue, I can almost get to the end of all the cutscenes, but then my system locks up.

Bartoni33 has a 2.13 GHz dual core processor, not exactly excellent but fair enough, it should work just fine as it is above the minimum specifications. The 100% CPU usage makes sense with such a processor, as the recommended specifications are a 2.4 GHz quad core for Intel processors. Your post did make me wonder what your own system specifications are, given you call his specifications excellent?

I have Dragon Age: Origins and Awakening, both digital downloads, as well as all of the DLC except the new Golems of Amgarrak. I also have the 1.4 patch. My issue is that whenever I enter a conversation that immediately follows a battle, ie.: meeting zevran, assasination attempt on Liliana, landsmeet ect... as I progress through the conversation the game slows down to a stop, or at least only about 1 frame per 5-15 minutes (literally).
This is the only time that I have any issues with the game, otherwise it runs perfect at all maxed settings. The DLC's all work fine but this problem makes the game nearly unplayable. I have spent hours reading through forum posts to see if there is a known solution for this but everyone who seems to have the same issue never gets an answer. I have tried all the suggestions for any other slow down problems, lowering all my settings, changing core affinity, disabling sound, closing background tasks, updating my sound and graphics drivers, and even updated my bios.
My wife also has the same issue, only it is worse, because her system is slower than mine.

Lowered my graphics, tried everything, even skipping dialogue to quickly get through it. I was lucky enough to get to the part where Loghain is about to drink the blood, but that's as far as I can go. I haven't even completed the campaign yet, it's so frustrating!
Will someone in tech support please pick this up!?
