Since this is sci-fi I would love to have more hairstyles for the characters.
Just take a look at all sci-fi series and movies from 60ies to 90ies and add those haircuts.

I want to make a renegade character that looks like Diana from V. Sadly any 80ies hairstyles are lacking in the editor.

Definitely! I was not surprised to see the same ole hair styles from ME1 with hardly a change.

And then there's Miranda who has this awesomely wonderful long hairstyle. Why can't my character have that or at least something similar?? Why do the NPCs always have to have the best hair/features, etc? That really really annoys me.

There's a few NPC hairstyles that are unavailable to the player, and its a shame too because some of them are a lot better than the default set which is the same as the first Mass Effect.

You can get some of these NPC hairstyles with gibbed's save editor. Importing them into ME3 probably won't work, though.

NPC hairstyles list: forums.steampowered.com/forums/showpost.php
Gibbed's save editor: www.mediafire.com/

Normally I would agree, but the way I see it is that in ME1 you were limited by military standards - no really long haircuts due to regulations. In ME2, while you technically don't have regs to worry about anymore, you were just reconstructed as close to how you were before you died - the Illusive Man wanted every detail as close as possible.

I suppose you could make the argument for more hairstyles in ME3, depending on what Shepard's doing. But I personally see no need for it in ME1 and 2.

completely agreed! I can pick out at least 5 npc hairstyles I'd have loved to use on a custom Shepard.

Seems silly to add some of these hairstyles and then only use them on one minor npc (the hairstyle the one blue-suns lieutenant you can talk to before recruiting Garrus is only used on her to my knowledge)

more hairstyles would be nice, tho I am proud to say that my male shepard looks perfect, seeing videos with the default shepard now looks really odd to me since im used to awesomenes of my shepard :)

Well...considering they didn't add any new hairstyles for ME2 (or new anything really - they just improved the graphics/textures of the existing options), I can't say I'm very optimistic about that changing in ME3. I'd love for more hairstyles too - I'd love a long hair option, but I know that won't happen.

The closest I get is a bun on top or a twist in the back. Long hair is probably a pain to try and animate though, and military regulations...bleeeeh. Still wish there was long hair in a braid or something. Or that one DAO hairdo with the two wrapped braids pinned up in the back - at least that one looks like it could conceivably fit under a helmet.

agreed! oddly enough I'm fairly sure she's the only npc I've seen with that hairstyle, why make a whole new hairstyle just for one extremely minor npc?

I think the girl Morinth murdered on the citadel also used that hair, it was black, but we only saw her in the journal vids.

Military standards..? with a Spectre that worked for Cerberus and essentially has her own organization and the best ship in the galaxy?

If someone comes and criticizes Shepard's hair style, for all things, I think the answer should be: "I should go."

My sassy, renegade Shep feels so lifeless without that hair the PC users discovered. Such a shame Bioware didn't add anything at all to the character creator. :(  I'd love the Blue Suns girl's armor too.  :P

Hair aside (I couldn't support this thread with any more heart!), the "beards" suck quads!!! Who in their right mind thinks that the 'permanent marker' beards look in any way convincing? Seriously half-arsed "art" there BioWare.  It'd be a simple task to make a decent beard ffs.  OMG I made Blender beard meshes for Morrowind that were superior to these lame excuses. And that's not saying much. Come on BioWare, give us a DLC with Hair and Beards please... Ooh, and facial piercings would also rock!

I don't think Miranda's hair looks like crap.

I wish there were more hair styles too, but then again, the hair style I have on my female Shepard already keeps clipping through her neck, which is super distracting. Next female Shepard I import gets a shorter haircut to avoid this. Perhaps asking for hair that actually moves like hair is a bit much to ask in this generation of gaming. (I'm not even being facetious when I say that. Got to have something to look forward to on the Xbox 720 or whatever the heck.)

Well, I'd be happy with Trinity's hair or even Aeon Flux's hair. Both are short and doable. Trinity's hair would suit any FemShep.

This topic = Yawn!

Long hair is stupid and impractical for combat. Its not a personal opinion, its fact.
