Long hair is stupid and impractical for combat. Its not a personal opinion, its fact.
Err... get out much? Honestly you saw a thread titled "We need more hair" and you actually clicked on it. What were you expecting? Hahaha
What a waste of oxygen.
@SmilingMirror - Yeah!!! Conrad is soooooo a stylist!

Well, someone could always Texmod it and stuff, but eh. That would still cause clipping issues.

Only having around six hairstyles and hair colours means almost every femshep looks generic! Check the face creation sticky in the main forum under femsheps and you will see already how similar many of them look.
Femsheps need more hairstyles! It is key for them!

The hair is restricted to those that would be accepted within the Allience military. Usually for men is to be kept within a very short length, and with women, it can't be longer than...I think it's 16 centimenters, not sure, but I believe those or the standards of the US military.
But, seeing as we are a Spectre, one working for ceberus at that, that we should not be restricted to "military legal" hairstyles.
Second reason.
Bioware couldn't render real long hair to save there life. Can make a nigh photorealistic face, but anything on top is going to look like plastic. Miranda was pretty long, but I'm sure you all noticed it was glued to her shoulders.
But, honestly, I don't want to OTHER alternative. Japanese "perpetual motion" hair.

I agree with one of the earlier posts. To reiterate: ME1 was military haircuts because that's how it started. You were with Alliance. In ME2, you were reconstructed to look the same as before. But in ME3, you are your own person. Longer and different hair styles should be an option. I loved Miranda's hair. I personally have long hair and would love to have a character look more like me.
My feelings exactly

Plz.
Seriously!
Femsheps need the option of having hair cuts that are actually feminine... long and luxurious would be nice, but it also seems unrealistic. I would just be satisfied with haircuts that were pretty though... like all the updo's are just... gah...
Malesheps need some bad ass cuts.... and i actually LOVE the idea of a mohawk

Shepard is technically dead, so he practically doesnt exist anymore, so he can do what he wants!

i concur! And honestly it's not that impractical, a few clips here and there and voila! problem solved. (not that shep would need clips b/c she's/he's? got impressive hairstyling abilities which keep all hair hinderances from occurring in the first place)
