--If you slept with Tali in 2, and she survives the final mission, she dies in 3 because her medicines did not work.



--Shepard has to sacrifice his life, or his love interest, to somehow defeat the reapers



--They stop the reapers but find out it is all a massive cycle that cannot be broken, as somewhere down the line organics and machines will come evolve into the reapers once more. These reapers aren't the first, they're just the latest, and humanity has to create some sort of movement akin to that of the Wardens--the only problem is, the vapidity of species that exist ensures that the cycle occurs again. Either that or after hundreds of years with no sign of resurgance, the galaxy rests on its laurels and allows a new wave of reapers to start manifesting itself.

IMO any ending for ME3 would be the worst ending as that would mean that Shep's story is over. I really love the ME universe and I have become attached to the character of  Shepard and it will be a sad day when I realize that there will be no more adventures, no more anything.

You find out that TIM was working with the Reapers all along and you just delivered the galaxy to him. I guess ME3 will either end with Shepard dead for good or with a semi happy ending.

Shepard saves the universe from the reapers, but upon returning to the citadel the allaince/council brings Shepard up on charges for being "too much of a renagade."

Shepard permanently dying to save the galaxy from the Reapers (which isn't really unlikely), then Bioware constantly purchasing new buckets to fill them with the tears of those coming into the forums to complain about the horrible ending.

We learn that the Reapers are Sith!!! Then Bioware announces Revan's returning in 2014 to help Commander Shepard save the galaxy from the Sith Reaper threat.

Shepard traverses the entire galaxy just to find out that..... the cake was a lie?!?!?!

It is the last few moments of the final battle with the King of the Reapers.

Garrus and Tali are both down (unconscious) and the King is at 14% health. Shepard has run out of normal ammo but out of the corner of his eye he sees 1 clip (1 shots worth) of ammo for the HDX-42-6M33F Kain Mk2 superweapon.

He dives towards the clip. You see the intensity and fire in his eyes. The King starts charging his lazors. Upon reaching the clip, Shepard loads the weapon with almost superhuman speed while performing a 180 flip in mid-air in slow motion, aiming the superweapon between the eyes of the Reaper behemoth.

All sound fades to deep breathing, and you hear a 'click'.
The camera starts panning out from Shepard's position and you see a trail of smoke leaving the weapon, heading straight for the Reaper King.


...fade to black...


3 years later...



You see a dark room with blurry figure sitting back on a greenish sofa, kind of spread out and wearing a white tank top vest and some blue shorts with yellow patterns on them.
As the camera comes into focus, you make out some of the features of the face and are shocked to see, it is Shepard! He has gained a lot of weight and has a can of beer in one hand and a few stains of what can only be described as week old ketchup on his wife-beater just over his left nipple. The room is dark but for the flickering light from the VisVid screen reflecting onto Shepard.

"SHEPARD! Come in here and fix this chair's wobble right NOW Mister! I've been telling you to get this done for 3 weeks now. What do I have to do to get you to do anything!?" screams .

"Is this how you treat me after all I do for you SHEPARD? I pick up the kids from school and brought in the mail and you can't even fix this! Your such a loser shepard, I should have stayed with the . My mother always said I was being stupid marrying you!!"

"STOP WOMAN! Please, PLEASE just stop nagging!" says Shepard, in a somewhat desperate and beaten tone.
"After all I've been through, I defeated the Rea.."

"Oh just shut up Shepard! Living in the past again. Does fighting some stupid robot really pay the bills?! Did your running around like a fool all those years ago help getting me that apartment in the Illium east side? Huh? You know 's husband got her that condo in Ilium. You couldn't even do that SHEPARD!"


The camera zooms in on Shepard's face. You see him bend in for an epic /facepalm.
The LI from ME3 keeps screaming in the background as the sound starts fading.
The camera zooms in a little closer to Shepard, who is now in the full swing of his /facepalm.
All sound has faded and all you can hear now is Shepard's breathing and heart beating. You see a glimmer on Shepard's face and notice a tear going down his cheek.

The camera cuts to the teardrop as it falls to the floor in slow motion, causing a splash.


...Fade to black...

The screen switches to a view of the Normandy flying off into space. THE END.

George Lucas wakes up at his desk and looks at his computer. He looks at a file that has the entire Mass Effect saga written on it. He deletes it and says this will never work for my prequel trilogy.

sheppard gets a new crew mate, a lovable floppy ear'd companion called..oh....lets say, bar-bar-jinx

and right at the end as shepard and crew are about to get wiped out bar-bar clumsily trips on a wrench and lands on the reapers self destruct button destroying all the reapers at once

thus saving the galaxy
