Now I know the majority of people stalking the forum is getting the PC and 360 version of Dragon Age: Origins. But a couple of questions to the people getting of the Ps3 version. ( Such as myself )
Do you think the Ps3 as a system has a better chance competeing with the PC version? Now, I know the consoles will be running a different interface, AI will be scripted differently, etc etc. Mainly because of memory, hardware, user compatibility so on and so forth. But the Ps3 in terms of power compared to the 360, makes Microsoft"s prized gem look like a trailer sitting next to a royal palace. ( Blu-Ray, Cell processor, larger HDD(s), ability to run multiple OS's, etc.) Now, if it wasn't for the lack of memory, do you think the Ps3 would be on par with the capabilities of a PC?
And lastly, who else is upset because of the release date for the Ps3?

The differences between 360 and PS3 aren't that big. In fact many games actually look *better* on 360 due to the fact that the PS3 is very complicated to program for.

Depends on how good your PC is. A lot of people tend to assume that PCs in general are only ever mid-ranged and cost 1500 bucks.

I suppose that PS3 will have better graphics comparing to a mid-ranged PC with at least 17-inch 1280x1024 LCD. However, comparing against a high end, or a PC with the latest technology, the graphics PS3, or any console in this matter, can offer will be no competition against the power, speed, flexibility and stability of that PC.

Assuming your PC can offer the same quality of graphics as your PS3, the question is then: which platform's control do you prefer most?

The power to perform is exceedingly greater then the 360's.
Subsequently; The Ps3 in the long run will out last the 360.

Considering coding a game for the 360 is similar to coding for the PC, the game will run better on the 360 since the PS3 version will basically be a port, meaning the game was designed as PC game, then converted to a 360 and PS3 game. Since the 360 and PC are so similar, it will be easier to convert, meaning it will play better all around, despite the PS3's slim edge in technology. So, no. I'm quite sure the PS3 version will be the most inferior version, as will the 360 version, but less so than the PS3 version. You are really cheating yourself if you play it on the 360 or PS3.

Valve is also amazing, yet they got frustrated with PS3 coding and now they completely dropped any project or port onto the PS3 system.

fully agree with this.  But if you want the best experience, you certainly want to get the PC version.

Valve are just lazy IMO. Rocksteady did an amazing job with Batman: Arkham Asylum on both consoles.
