Some players wont be happy until every character in the ME universe is a LI option.

Can't wait to see their version of how to get discounts at every store on the citadel. Or how to convince the Krogan to help you out.

"Make love not war"

I also can't wait to see the council scenes:
Asari Councilmember "I am sorry but we just cant accept the evidence of a giant human robot you found and the fact you proved us wrong at least 7 times before your temporary union with cerberus, the council shall not be bothered with the 700 dreadnaught class ships of unknown origin currently orbiting the citadel"
The Ladies Shepard "Yea, yea thats all well and good.. But I was wondering what your plans were after this meeting councilorwoman.. Is that the right word? "

It sorta makes sense in a way. All of her children turned ardat yakshi, and what if she had another via an encounter? Plus it sounds like justicars are kinda like monks - they forsake romance.

I'm sorta surprised they didn't have the option in there, just because the way her top is, it feels like she's supposed to be almost a MILF sort of character, for lack of better way of phrasing it.

@ user this isnt my name;

yeah I wouldn't want him to be with everyone either, but answer me this. Who the hell wanted Tali as a love interest, not me. I did it just to see underneath, which again was a letdown. Not even a Quarian's face for ME2, come on Bioware, don't stop delivering for the fans.

I liked Tali as a LI, hell she was the only LI I actually liked in ME 1+2 the others never apealed to me, but at this rate everyone is a romance only a few are not best to keep it that way.

Umm, she says (after you beat the game and continue playing the same save) that she enjoyed the time she spent with Shepard and will always be at him/her beckon and that she will come for her/him...take that as you will...

@ user AngryTigerP, but there's no Asari love in ME2, not even a consort type hook-up. The Asari are the hottest beings in the galaxy,... next to Miranda, of course. I

I didn't know asari were the sex bots of the galaxy.

I thought they were a powerful Citadel race of biotics and peace keepers.

If she was a love interest i would have definitely have chosen her over Miranda and tali depending on my character. She looks like a superhero. The most sexy videogame character for me, but i have a thing for milfs.

I'm sick

Seriously, i'm kind of glad she is not a love interest. I realize shepard is a pimp, and the sexual tension on the normandy is outrageous but come on. These aren't desperate losers, they're the galaxys best. Some shouldn't be interested for reasons other than being a baby krogan, or the fact that the act of making love would brake ever bone in his body.

The council is a LI.  They screw Shepard several times.

Her children inevitably become sex vampires. It's for the best.

Everyone is so obsessed with who they couldn't have as a LI. I actually think the sheer number of LIs available in ME2 was one of its weak points.

It was much more well done in ME1 because you didn't have a lot of options. It gave Bioware more time to development the ones you could involve yourself in and make them more in-depth. In ME2, all of them feel like a fling. You help them out with one thing, they feel attracted to you, you sleep with them... Then that's pretty much it. I expected to learn a lot more about the characters and be able to take the relationship to different steps -- maybe even receive certain gameplay perks. Maybe romancing Tali meant she could tinker with my guns to upgrade them, or romancing Miranda would mean better shield technology researched by Cerberus. Just a few superficial ideas, but mostly disappointed at how shallow the LIs in ME2 felt compared to ME1.

I was with Ash in ME1, and I really liked how she felt genuinely betrayed and hurt when I came back. Out of all the decisions you make in ME1, the romance you choose was definitely the most resonant in ME2.

I like that you cant have her... it points up how very ALONE Shep is. The thing Shep knows that no one else can even comprehend let alone believe. Makes me love the Character even more.

Wait wait wait....I didn't check out the Morinth scene. Does Shep survive the sex or does he die like all others do after sex with the Ardat-Yakshi? I've got to know. Cause that would be something right there. Well just saved the galaxy again, how's about some Asari booty from the serial sex-killer blue Sharon Stone from Basic Instinct over here, that'll get my mind off Liara....then wham. Dead Shep.

And she's unwilling to give up the definition of her life for you, which points out that Shepard's influence and persuasion skills really do fall apart in the face of such an implacable determination.

Perhaps foreshadowing for how the Reapers make it into the galaxy in ME 3?

Evidentially this Shepard believes the aspect of Asari promiscuity. If Samara were a love interest I believe it would ruin her character completely. Binding herself to something so ruling as the Code and making it such an openly important thing in her life just to have her say "Sure thing Shep, let's just drop his and I'll chase YOU around the Galaxy" is just stupid.

He does indeed die. It's Darwin Award material.

Yeah, you die, but its worth it for the scene and you can reload from your last save. She hypes you up so you think you'll live, but its just part of her ploy. Samara's the one that needed to be loved, though.

It's the tali fanboys fault...If they didn't claymore for her underdeveloped romance, that spots would've been Samaras.

In the dialog with her, she says having a relationship is not against the code and she actually leads you on for half the game. How would being with her ruin the character, then.

An Asari squadmate who isn't automatically a LI. Remarkable idea.

But Samara is a love interest. It's just... well:

"Another time, another life."

It was really well done IMO.

As for Morinth, I don't get why Shep can't suggest sex without the melding - even though I'm sure she'd refuse. Asari can separate the two, after all. I can't imagine the consort went all black eyed on Shep back in ME1's little tribute to Titanic.

For the people who keep saying Samara is 1000, she is only 600. She isn't even a Matriarch yet.

Despite what the website says, she tells us in the game that she is a thousand.
