If so, I can't seem to find it.  Using the wireless controller sitting 15 feet from a 42 inch non-HD TV makes it almost impossible to read that small print.  How hard would it be to patch something like that in ?

Wow, just found the official response (sorry should have read the threads before asking). I can't believe they can't fix something as simple as a text size option in the options panel. I may have to put this game away until I can afford and HDTV, but I see even HDTV users are having a big issue with text display. I try an buy every Bioware title I see, but if support consists of "maybe next time" I may have to rethink that.

thought ild reply in here as it was a thread not locked!

i came here to find out the same, how to make the text bigger or at least clear as on my 38" SDTV its almost unreadable and the amount of times the white text is over a white background detail making it unable is well..., a simple background to the text when you turn the wheel would help.

but seeing it is an unfixable (ahem) problem im leaving disappointed and somewhat surprised in bioware. i just hope this isnt the EA effect taking place on yet another game/studio.

It isnt a small or isolated problem judging from some threads/news/reviews/google searches, so i had to add my voice to the crowd in a tiny glimmer of hope someone gives a...and this isnt a trend that continues onto SWTOR or other bioware games.

Locking a thread and hoping it goes away is also disgusting and shows little care for the people who bought the game, at least acknowledge the problem and sticky it with an explaination. My view of bioware has changed since i found there responses and will think twice next time before a purchase.

The funny part is, if they had announced it, I would still have bought the game (since I wanted the bonus content). I would have just waited until I could afford a nicer television to play it. I have tried writing PR people at EA and BW, asking them if they are withdrawing support for SD on their console titles, and have received no response. Not even a "Yes" or "No". Just letting me know would make me feel better. Oh well.

So it goes...

Of course they're not going to give you an answer, it'd be a bad move for the company as a whole to give you an answer. If they say yes, then everyone starts complaining that they never intended to even look into the problem and that they should have let us know before we bought the game. If they say no, then everyone will think and request a patch for mass effect 2 and anyother game they make with the same problem, also would bring up the question of how it got past QA. In this case it's in the companies best interest to keep quite. No answer is better than shooting yourself in the foot, you know. But hopefully when mass effect 2 is released as a platinum hits they'll fix it then, I know fat chance. All I can say is that unless the CE of mass effect 3 has something really awesome I'll end up buying it used.

It's been said before, we've investigated the issue are unable to fix this issue in a patch.  Ban hammer is now out.

Edit: In as much detail as I can give:  There are certain technical limitations as to how much and what you can fix in a Title Update.  This particular issue when we investigated the fix (and made a prototype) showed to not be supported by the Title Update system (imposed by the folks over at Microsoft) therefor are unable to fix it.
