 i noticed on polls every one seems to like jacob the least i just wanted to know the reasons why??

i like jacob and i would hate for him to die off in ME3 because he is the least favorite

Simply put turning into a wolf doesnt make you a werewolf, and constantly having no shirt on is just plain silly.

I don't hate him, but his flat personality and horrible power/weapon choices make him easily the least useful character in the game.

Just not a particularly exotic character. Not as interesting to me as the others, and I've never found him to be particularly useful in combat.

Most of the responses I've seen seem to say that they find Jacob dull. I don't really agree with them... I quite like the guy for being solid, dependable, and lacking in major psychological issues. But... apparently it's just that quality that turns people off because he doesn't have any major quirk to make him stand out. Sadly, in games like this nice, well-adjusted guys do tend to turn people off simply because they don't have any real trauma or dysfunction to latch on to.

Pretty much this. Jacob is a cool guy and all, but kinda bland compaired everyone else. But other than that, I like Jacob.

His story is simple and boring. He is just some good solider working for Cerberus cuhz he couldn't get what he wanted at the Alliance and like white girls.

to me he just wasn't intriquing at all. And I'm not racist, because Ashley (and usually Alenko) weren't too impressive on me either. Humans are just kind of boring.



Besides he didn't really offer anything. Combat with Pull and... ? And his Loyalty power I think was an Ammo Power or something.



I didn't play him or Zeed alot.



I played Tali and Legion alot because of the AI hacking and battle drones (which do kind of suck now that I play a 2nd time)



But yeah Jack, Jacob, Zaeed, I wasn't interested in. jack had some nice powers though.



Thane wasn't as epic as I hoped. Didn't like his voice too much.



Mordin's Incenerate was AWESOME i like him.

Boring and appearently femsheps cant talk to him without flirting, he just annoys me...Like kaiden if I had to do virmire again and only one person would stay with te nuke, it would be shepard, they just annoy me as boring pointless characters.

Im a biotic lover ingame and my sentinel class, along with Jacob and Garrus/Thane is the most fun ever! Pull field + Heavy Throw = Enemy Ping Pong On the otherhand i dont find him any interresting outside the combat scenario, its like i lacks the needed acting :/

I must admit I found Jacob to be one of the least memorable and one of the most generic characters.

I didn't dislike him as such, but I had more feelings about my private message terminal.

Jacob himself is perfectly fine in my book, it's not him that I don't like, but the actual approach our Shepard, especially Female Shepard has with him. I've said this often but I'll repeat it for this thread. When Female Shepard goes talking to Jacob on the Normandy she kind of take some leaning back posture and talks to him in suggestive voice tone, you know, like "c'mon baby do me something"-type of dirty talk... I couldn't role-play that at all, BioWare took the control of the situation by doing so, they (BioWare) basically say «See? You hear how she talks to him? She's obviously crazy about him, BETRAY YOUR ME1 LOVE INTEREST NOW!»... ermm... no thanks. I'd rather have a "normal" and Commander'ish professional talk with Grunt and starting a "normal" LI with him than being "forced" to see my FemShep talking like that to Mr. Joe new Cerberus guy I don't know anything about.



THAT is what I didn't like "about him", the whole approach thing with him. And since the Shepard's animations are the same for both sexes I don't even want to imagine how stupid it must look seeing a Male Shepard leaning back like that when talking to him. But anyway, that's how I perceive it myself, fine if others disagree you have your own tastes, I for one just don't like it, why can't my Shepard just have a normal conversation with Jacob as much as with ALL other party members on the ship? WHY is it that she leans back for Jacob and NOT for... say... Tali? Garrus? Joker? KELLY!? No?



That's it yeah.
