I remember when the idea of "floating" shields and swords on the back first was released...many people were mad and saying how stupid it was, blah blah.
Anyone take the time to notice how (in the Char Gen), that the shield actually has arm holders, that actually look through the armor? Very detailed, I thought that was very cool. (Referring to Warrior class)
(Note this doesn't necessarily apply to swords, also not sure how it plays out with other armor..but was still intrigued)
Anyone notice how the shields tie into the back?

Well, the arm holders are nice (though personally I'd consider bowstrings more important, but that may be just me), but it's nevertheless just the whole object floating on your back.
Actually, I think it would look nicer if the arm holders were removed (or not considered) when "sheathed", so that your actual shields would be a bit closer to your back.
