Eh, Ashley's never been the "big picture" kind of gal. She thinks she's staying true to something important, as though it will stop the reapers. That's why she's Gunnery Chief Williams, and Commander Shepard is Commander Goddamn Shepard, and that's why he'd win.

Granted, I'm glad Bioware had the courage to not make your LI kiss the ground you walk on. Ashley's happy to see you, but she can't reconcile what she sees as you "switching sides."
