I like Ashley. I think it makes sense for her to be pissed, and it wouldn't make sense for her to go strait back to you right away. Plus, she pretty much acknowledges her ****iness back there and apologizes with an e-mail later.
Fair enough. I like Ashley too and think she generally gets too much of a bad rep.

Being an alliance soldier in her blood would imply she has a deep love of humanity.....isnt that was cerberus is too? Plus wasnt that **** a xenophobe? Cerberus is perfect for her...
There is always a price to pay, and Cerberus is willing to pay too much just for the sake of Humanity dominance.
There is a certain level of stepping on people's faces that by the time it's too late, you'll realize all that you said you stood for and were is no more true.
I mean look at the newest book coming out Mass Effect : Retribution. putting Reaper implants in human subjects? really?
Alliance would never do that.
That's why if it comes down on the wire between choosing the Council and/or alliance vs Cerberus, i will always choose the former.

Glad to see you didn't pay attention to her story in ME1 at all, she isn't a xenophobe. She has a distrust of aliens for what happened with her grandfather, and you could actually convince her into believing her views are wrong and that Aliens are just like humans.
A real life racist couldn't be convinced otherwise by simple words, it's pretty much imprinted into their psych until either they have a revelation or they die. She also isn't a by-all-means-necessary type of person, thus she wouldn't fit right in with Cerberus at all.

Even before that, when you died you were also a Spectre, who technically answer to the Council only.The_KFD_Case wrote...
Hahah! Yeah, that's similar to a Renegade line when you first enter the Citadel in ME2.Himmelstor wrote...
Dead for two years? Hello? Kind've excuses you from active duty! I'm sure "back from the dead" was not covered in Systems Alliance Marines rules and regulations.

If it came down to the wire, id make sure to get all those organizations on the horn and then threaten them to make me king or I wont pull the plug on the reapers...since im the only one that can kill them.... Shepard is really short sited in this game...hes the only one to kill reapers, the only threat to the entire galaxy.....and yet he doesnt make any serious demands other then give me a ship.....what a moron..

They thought you were dead for 2 years. Suddenly you come back and you are working for a known terrorist group. Would it really have made sense for them to suddenly rejoin you without a second thought?

Um. Yes? Like every squad mate you have says, they're working for Shepard. Not Cerberus. Tali and Garrus were no less willing then Ashley/Kaidan. Except those two has a pole up their asses and refused to listen to reason. If you bring Garrus along, even he get's pissed off.

Tali is a total **** about it, actually. She pretty much even says that she's joining you, not the crew. Garrus was a little more open-minded about the whole thing.

Even though I am/was a Spectre, I'd never choose the Council over Cerberus, mainly because I have always thought that me becoming a Spectre was more to do with the fact of the ever-looming political clout of the Alliance, rather than they actually felt I was good enough for the role, despite everything that has happened.
I would totally choose the alliance over Cerberus though.

Just because two people agree to serve you, doesn't mean the entire scenario is okay and acceptable to the masses. Ashley / Kaidan not being flocked like sheep into following Shepard was interesting and proved that both characters have very different thinking than Tali / Garrus.

That's funny, because I'm pretty sure I remember Shepard needing the help of an asari scientist to even have a chance at saving the galaxy.Aris Ravenstar wrote...

It was Shepard who made it possible for her to advance her career at all, and that's what she comes out with? I never particularly liked her, but that was just too much.
