Psh, Liara wasn't the one that epically... talked Saren into shooting himself. >_>Randy1083 wrote...
That's funny, because I'm pretty sure I remember Shepard needing the help of an asari scientist to even have a chance at saving the galaxy.
Seriously, ANY option to tell them off at that point would've been nice. My Paragon Shep gives and gives and it's never enough.

Ashley has a very clearly defined character, to which she stayed true to the letter. Her cameo was short, but her interraction with Shepard was exceptional, especially considering the circumstances. You could clearly hear her voice wavering with emotion throughout her entire speech.
If anything, I like her character that much more because of her reaction.

like I said, I tell Ash / Kaiden I've been dead for 2 years and the first thing they say is "it doesn't matter" how does it not matter? as much as I believe in ghosts and out of body experience I don't think ghosts can use terminals to send emails

I really don't understand all of the irrational hate for Ashley generated by her appearance in ME2. I really do not.

The hate is because her character in ME1 was defined, but able to adapt.
Ashley : Racist, doesn't see big picture.
However if you talk to her, you can eventually convince her that she needs to look at the big picture. Now she cannot even understand that you can't call her every week for chitchat when you are DEAD. Which she does accept as real since she accuses you of liking cerberus for bringing you back. Also as an aside, the whole ressurection thing might anger her on a spiritual level also.

Not this again. Ashley IS NOT racist! Racism is an irrational hatred. Ashley doesn't hate aliens, she just doesn't trust the aliens who make the big decisions, and she has perfectly logical reasoning behind that mistrust.

She can't believe me, after all we went through, combined with the fact that she can't believe me because it cerberus and their feelings on aliens...never mind the fact i'm stood in front of her with a salarian and a krogan at me side.
I'm afraid I thought the Ash reunion was very poorly done.

I can understand Kaiden and Ashley being upset.
They thought you were dead for 2 years. Suddenly you come back and you are working for a known terrorist group. Would it really have made sense for them to suddenly rejoin you without a second thought?
Um. Yes? Like every squad mate you have says, they're working for Shepard. Not Cerberus. Tali and Garrus were no less willing then Ashley/Kaidan. Except those two has a pole up their asses and refused to listen to reason. If you bring Garrus along, even he get's pissed off.
Garrus leans more towards the renegade side in the sequel (something I really dislike), so it makes sense for him to giv eCerberus on a chance.
Tali on the other hand.......why did she join me again? She was very vocal about her distrust of Cerberus. More so than any other squadmate. Does she really have that much blind faith in Shepard, even when you're working with Cerberus? I mean, look at what happended to Veetor.
Though maybe she does give an explanation if you talk to her more. To be honest I haven't really talked to Tali in the sequel yet.

She doesn't trust your alien squadmates, (at least initially)
And her reason for not trusting aliens in command is because she believes if a decision comes down to saving themselves or humans they will automatically pick themselves, because this is her logic.

This. Ashley would fit right in with a pro-human terrorist organization.
that doesnt make any sense... she outright says that she could never work for a group like cerberus. That was the ENTIRE point of the meeting....

* Shepard didn't bother to contact her after being brought back to life. It's not like you were dumped on Horizon right after waking up in Cerberus facility.
* she doesn't even know if it actually *is* real Shepard. With Cerberus' track record it can be some sort of clone running on who knows what. Or they're running control chip in this "new" Shepard to ensure cooperation and trying to use this "Shepard" to trick people into doing Cerberus' bidding.
she has very little reason to trust in anything that comes out of your lips. The player may get all pissed they aren't accepted with 100% faith at face value let alone blindly followed from the get go but honestly, why should they be accepted so easily? As long as you can put your ego aside, of course.

That's any race's logic. If there were a situation where the Council could save the entire galaxy by letting humans die, they'd do it. That's just common sense. No nation would sacrifice the entirety of its well-being to save another. That would be asinine.

I believe Shepard couldn't get into contact anyway. Shepard is told a few times that Ash is on a top Alliance Mission, and he can't get any information on it.

I also happen to agree with every word coming out of her mouth. I felt like an idiot saying "hi ash, its been too long". WTF kind of response is that?
I never liked working for cerberus, and I'm glad Ash called me out for it and stood by what she believed in.

I know that. It's just that I don't understand why Tali trusts Shepard almost immedeatly. You'd think someone would be skeptical of a person who shows up with two Cerberus employees and then drags off one of their friends for interrogation, regardless of what their relationship with them is.

That line really just ticked me off. I mean really? After all the crap we went through with Saren you're going to throw that out at me? I really wish there would have been a line for Shepard like:
"When are you finally going to grow up, and see what's going on around you?"
Ironically if Garrus is with you he throws out almost that exact line. IF i had to find a new reason to love Garrus That was the moment.

first point can be nulled if you woke up and saw the council ( assuming you're para / neutral ) you can ask Anderson where your former team mate is and he says he can't tell you to that degree
the second one is a fault in the conversation tree, there's absolutely nothing to allow you to "prove" yourself like Tali in Freedom's Progress
