Edit: The problems fixed themselves after a few hours, except I still can't download Return to Ostagar. Edit 2: It broke completely again.

Okay I dunno what gives, but when I launch Dragon Age: Origins, if I am logged it it says that half of my promos/DLC were unauthorized. ... I purchased/legitimately activated them! The admins can even check my account. Not only that, but it shows Stone Prisoner and Warden's Keep as the two active purchaseable DLC items, but NOT Return to Ostagar. On the splash screen, it shows Warden's Keep instead of Return to Ostagar. Funny thing is when I log out, it doesn't say any of my items are unauthorized, but then I can't download anything and it doesn't show me my points.

And yes, I did download and install the newest patch. And I did try logging in and logging back out, even separated by game relaunches.

If you are having issues around this you should check out the Technical forum for your game. This forum is just for issues buying points.

In particular, if you are on the PC, see section 5 of the DLC In-Game Errors FAQ for some insight into the unauthorized content issue.

Thanks for the help, Kepha. And the support, YahZila. Yes, the solution was in part 5. What had happened was I went through my MSConfig and made it so unnecessary background processes wouldn't load up during start-up. Really it's ridiculous a problem like this comes up just because you decided not to have a background process running 24/7... It should be enough to run just while the game is running.

Hope this helps you too YahZila.

Actually when working as designed the service only runs when the game is running.  The game starts it automatically when it launches and shuts it down when it exits.
