Lol well too be perfectly honest i wasnt playing on insanity, but I did get all the crates, and beat the mission in about 6 seconds. How? the m-920 caine, one well placed shot and they call were killed, kept me laughing for a few minutes haha

I think it would work on any difficulty.  I learned the same trick by accident.

Fired the Cain into the midst of them as soon as possible (very important).  The blast took all three out.

First time it happened I went WTF :o  Then I  and made a mental note for future plays.

Frankly, I'm not sure what (if anything) you get for each crate you recover.

You could always go outside?

Read a book?

Go for a walk?

Play a different game?

Practice your typing skills?

Clean your room?

Do your homework?  Make your Mommy a sandwich?  Rub down your Dad's feet?  Give your sister a sensual massage?  Take the garbage out?  Punch your neighbor in the face?  Study up on your quantum physics?  Buy a porno magazine?  Try to steal your Ma's cigarettes?  Masturbate to the vision of your Home Ec teacher?  Wash your Grandpa's Cadillac?  Eat a whole block of cheese?  Learn to play an instrument?  Slap yourself red?  Kick the crap out of your dog?  Run for town mayor?  Grab the boob of that girl you have a crush on at school?  Take a few deep breaths?  Make a fortress out of empty pop cans?  Learn to make your own gumbo?  Find out how they make baseball caps online?  Contemplate the cosmos?  Ride your tricycle?  Hump your pillow?  Throw-up in your pants?  Eat your own feces?  Brush your teeth with bleach?  Experiment ingesting common household cleaners?  Build your own UFO?  Post messages on a forum that no one will give two ****s about?  Set me up for an insane reply?  Put that dress on you've been wondering about in your sister's closet?  Find out what a tampon tastes like?  Rub different spices on your genitals?  Steal equipment from construction sites?  Rewire your neighbor's hot tub panel?  Ride a snowmobile naked?  Kill yourself with boredom?  Kids... always looking for someone to hold their hand...

MOM I'm BORED!!!!  MMMOOOOMMMM I SAID I'm BORREEEDDDD....

Cain in insanity doesn't feel like cheating. The only thing it did is take out the shield + a small portion or armor for two YMIR for me. I find the shields the most annoying part anyway since armor can be blasted away easily by inferno ammo + carnifex + warp. Even when I did this late in my insanity run with Cain I only recovered 15 crates. I don't think I have ever gotten any more than 15...

It's possible to get 20 crates in insanity... Get heavy ammo upgrades until Cain reaches 200% then fire two salvos into their midst. Start charging Cain before you turn the corner and target the middle one... then while the shockwave causes you to reel back, fire the second salvo slightly off target below the centre mech. Battle over in 10 seconds.

You get 187.5 bucks per crate = 3750 credits. peanuts if you ask me

The payout per crate is indeed pathetically low. Should also remember that firing the Cain costs 500 credits each time, because you get 100 credits for each heavy weapon crate you pick up if your HW ammo is full (one crate is 20% Cain ammo IIRC). So if you can get 15 crates without using your heavy weapon, you'll make more than you will by firing the cain twice and getting all 20.

Bear in mind if 1 mech goes boom (disruptor, headshots,w/e) whatever is next to it goes boom too...

I tend to find it easier heading left at the start, going up that ramp to the circular area and bunkering down there.

I am too proud to use my Cain, but for some reason I still carry it everywhere. My best advice for playing through Daratar on Insanity is to listen to Fury of the Storm by Dragonforce. It will help about as much as any specific strategy IMO. Epic Cheesy Music is one half of every formula for success.

Going there early is a big no-no thats for sure. Because ammo is very tight, and you don't have much room to move around. Make sure your skills are high level and you have tons of ammo.
