I have viewed that scene numerous times..Riordan falls off the Archdemon..after slashing it in the wing, The Archdemon starts falling and Riordan falls too..only faster. The camera is looking up from what looks like ground zero..in other words ground level.



We hear a thump, and then the camera pans to your PC...who evidently was close by. Thats how he/she knows they have to try to kill the Archdemon themselves...as Riordan is dead.
