I apologize in advance if i violate any rules regarding post length or repetition. I've never been much of a forum person, but count me among those that find Tali inspiring and worth supporting. I am obviously not alone in that regard.
One of my few disappointments in ME1 was that there was no possibility of a romantic relationship with Tali. I had committed to no relationship in ME2 until Yeoman Chambers off-handedly commented to me that Tali was interested in being more than friends. So long Ashley Williams.
I have some optimism that we will see Tali in ME3, hopefully as a team member and ongoing romantic interest. Why optimism?
1. The incredible effort put into Tali's recruitment, loyalty mission, and interactions with Shepard. Her reuniion and subsequent interactions include some of the best diaglog in ME2 and do a great job of building the emotional interaction. I don't recall being given the opportunity to comfort any other potential romantic interest as occurred aboard the lab ship. By the end of her trial I couldn't picture Shepard with anyone else. To put that level of care into crafting her rationale for caring about Shepard only to toss her aside would be ludicrous.
2. Along those lines, the idea that Tali and Shepard would just have a one night stand makes no sense. She is literally laying her life on the line in order to be with him. She wouldn't accept anything but the real thing. He has to be willing to wait for her, possibly to the point of having no physical relationship in order to protect her safety. The idea that they would go through all that, and for her the inevitable post contact illness, for a fling is ridiculous. If it was just about having sex she would have gone with the nerve stimulators. I wouldn't expect any cross-species couple to produce children, but i see Shepard as being after her heart, not her ovaries or their equivalent.
3. Like many, I was frustrated by the helmet fake out. Hey, she promised to reveal herself to Shepard, not us. Still, as frustrating as that was it makes me all the more eager for ME3. There would be plenty of anticipation for that reveal in ME3. To not have that in ME3 would make no sense.
4. Story hooks. Tali is loaded with them. There will have to be resolution to the Geth/Quarian conflict in ME3. What will happen with the factions in the migrant fleet. Will she adapt to Shepard and be able to interact more freely with him. There are plenty more.
5. Story continuity. It makes sense that characters would leave the team either temporarily or permanently. It also makes sense from a story-telling standpoint to have characters that are present on the team across the entire story arc. Tali and Garrus fill that role nicely and would tie the three games together in a way no other character could. Taking the romance with Tali (or Garrus) to a higher level would further support the emotional power of that arc.
One source of concern to me is that a friend of mine who did not upgrade the Normandy told me that Tali is one of the crew who is killed on the approach to the Collector base. That was a horrifying thought. Not the way you treat someone you expect to be important in the sequel. Still, it sounds like pretty much anyone could buy it in that final battle, so maybe I am reading too much into it. I also agree with the concern expressed that she would be relegated to a supporting role by becoming a fleet admiral. Maybe I defended her too well at the trial.
Hopefully the development team at Bioware realizes that with Tali they have captured lightning in a bottle. I imagine people there were surprised at how she has resonated with so many. I am willing to trust Bioware given the incredible games they have produced and relatively minor quibbles I have had. That does not mean I am above begging them to include Tali as a team member and ongoing romantic interest in ME3. If I knew how to do the signature thing I would add that to my post as well.

General Quarian question: Why is it that their Marines give me the impression that they can't do anything militarily?
They did get owned in the very first level...
They embarrassed Reegar... I think they are just idiots, not military.
They also were almost all killed within five minutes of boarding the geth occupied ship.
