Nah. Only the first time. The 2nd time playing through, it seemed alot easier.
Even now I that I am playing my "fun" characters ....femshep and other classes ...I play at "normal" and it seems almost too easy... don't need medi-gel and just breezing throught the fights.  Once you have played through insanity mode, and learned how to make use of your squad's powers in combination for crushing effect on the enemy, playing on the easier modes is feels like a walk in the park.

It's always been hard to catch up to the discussion involved here. After being gone for more than 10 page lengths(which by now is what 5 minutes?) it's easier to skip to the newest post and skim over a few earlier replies to get back up to speed. This is of course at the risk of missing some truly classy conversations.

Back to the topic though, I wonder if Bioware is focusing a bit too much on Quarians. We went from 1 Quarian in the entire game(and a mighty fine Quarian at that) to their home fleet, got to see both sexes and made massive decisions on the direction of their lives.

We haven't even set foot on a Turian dominated world, or a Salarian world, not to mention seeing their females(possibly a myth by now). Worse Garrus is a self proclaimed "bad Turian", that he isn't even representative of his species unlike Tali, Wrex and Mordin.

Much as I'll love fighting in the Quarian/Geth war in ME3 (here's hoping!) I do hope Bioware let's the other races have a chance to shine.

You know, I'd like more expansion of the universe in just about any area, but the turians wouldn't be my first choice.  I think they're a lot closer to humanity than either race would like to admit.

But touring a turian warship (and probably having a firefight in it, knowing Shep) would be cool.  It would be interesting to see just how the Normandy is echoing their designs.
