Nah.
Knowing Bioware they'd give us a hard choice but they'll also give us a happy ending. Much like happened in BG2 with most of your LI. Well, Viconia's ending epilouge was bittersweet, but she did have a happy ending at least for a few years.

Takes way too long to catch up on this thread some nights, it's easier to lurk. *sigh*
I doubt they'll stuff so obvious a choice as LI versus known galaxy into the next game, there's nothing that says you have to woo your crewmen so that idea gets nixxed pretty quick.Thinking further, why chose Thane over the galaxy? Poor guy barely has a year to live in this game as it is.
Heck I didn't even like the LI from the first game, I never went through with one until my third run just to see what all the fuss was about. Even then I went back to ME1 the week before ME2 came out just to drop a nuke on Ashley as an insurance policy for Bachelor Shepard.

True enough, but nothing wrong with throwing ideas around here and there. Given the involvement you have in this game, there'll no doubt be something for the single Sheps and the attached Sheps as well.
Whatever Bioware have in store, it should be a good'un, as they say

Reinforcements have arrived. But seriously.
Alas poor Alenko, I pity you. I see no happy ending for that poor man.
On a side note, I wish you could recruit Tali earlier in the game. Playing ME2 a 5th time and it feels like half my squad is missing until she's safely tucked in there. Seeing all the youtube videos showing off Tali's extra dialogue in the early game is depressing.<_<
It have been nice if handing Tali the geth data from the first game opened the option to recruit her right at Freedom's Progress instead of just calming her down faster.

Nah, I don't believe we'll have to choose between Tali and the galaxy. It would be totaly anticlimactic and a poor way to end this epic saga. If in the end it does hinge on the choice between Tali and everything else...plenty of other galaxies for Tali and me
That would be terribly cruel. It would be just like telling you "Bwahahahah! You should have learned long ago that you can't have it all. Choose your flavor of fail".
Frankly, I would have no interest in living with such a burden in a galaxy without her, so the choice would be die and save the galaxy or die and screw the galaxy. "Sorry, people. Better luck next cycle".

The question is, are they laughing at us and decide 'haha we'll kill Tali, die in a fire suckers !' or will they go 'alright, you'll get what you want' on us

Hah. Well they went "alright, you get what you want" during ME2 development.

I would not put too much on either posting or the tweet.
Christina roughly said ... "wow this board supports 500++pages of postings?"
And her tweet essentially said "Okies okies.. we get that you guys like Tali."
Thats more or less it.
However one of her tweets did confirm that Tali will not be in ME *if* she dies in ME2. Which figures, but also implies that she could be in if she didn't die.
The real question is will Tali be a team member and have a major role in ME3. Which what this thread is all about.
Personally I don't know how much influence we have, considering that the game's story and outline would have been more or less set and done before even ME2 was worked on, but thats not to say that we can't hope and in by posting how much we care that things could be changed.
I know for example that Tali was supposed to be a romanceable in ME1 but that option was taken out because they did not have enough time or could not figure out how to implement it properly. Bioware could have easily stuck with the decision to keep Tali a non-romanceable character and be done with it. Instead they listened (or at least I hope this was the case) and made the changes.
Considering that Tali's romance happened and *is* the best romance in
ME2, I'd say this is a hopefully a good sign that we'd see Tali in ME3 along with the "happy ending" Tali and Shepard deserves.
