Question for the Tali fanbase: Have most of you been rabid fans of her since ME1 or was it her expanded storyline in this one that has made you such devotees. I liked Tali's character in ME1 well enough but I tended to leave her out of my squad until after I got the high-level quarian armor for completing BDTS during my second playthrough with a character. This because she just died too easily without armor in my playing style.

Now, however, she hangs in during battle (AI hack is a must against heavy mechs) and, really, her storyline and romance arc combine to make her the most fully realised character in the whole game.

But that all happened in the second game for me. You guys are really, truly, madly, deeply into her in a way that I'm not really in touch with, ALTHOUGH I MUST STRESS I LOVE THE CHARACTER. SHE'S GREAT! (just in case that's not clear, lol).

Just want to know whether it's the new stuff that has done it for you or if she had you at "Hi Shepard" in ME1.

Not me! I said before I thought she was a wallflower. Merely a vehicle to explain the Quarians to you. I also perceived her to be just a kid...She grew up into a kickass little firecracker!

Seriously she is the most genuine and warmest of all the LIs. Jack is just nasty, Kelly too love everyone-ish, Miranda just scowls at me all the time. Liara and Ash treated me like they found me under a rock.

She moves in, and you become fast friends, spending a great deal of time together, getting to know one another. Soon afterward, you meet a human girl while gasing up your car (or getting groceries, doing laundry etc. as applies). Take pictures of Tali.  Sell to government.  Be rich.

Tali...no question...at all...like...the second I heard "whom do you intend to have a romantic relationship with?", the name Tali was screaming through my head...

That's both of her hands. One of the fingers is under, so you only see 5.

I ALWAYS use Tali in my ME1 squads for her tech skills, and because I WANTED her as a LI. I also use Liara because she's the best Biotic in ME1, but never really wanted her as a LI. I kept picking the same two in my squad, regardless of the class my Shep was because they make a very strong duo together. Tali's armor was always pretty weak, but I never really had a problem with her survival with the right mix of upgrades added to her armor.

never really paid attention to her in ME1, she was just another squadmate.

Was fairly sure going into ME2 that she'd be my primary LI, but the loyalty mission sold it for me.

Me too. I felt it when she found her father...that was what sealed the deal. The others just whine on their missions Tali doesn't. Tough but also vulnerable.

Considering this unit lives in the middle of nowhere, we would offer Creator-Tali'Zorah the extra room in our residence. Aside from that Creator-Tali'Zorah hands down.
