Although I can agree with a lot of the sentiment flying around here. I get very attached to fictional characters as well. Its still hard to believe that Tali'Zorah is bringing so many people together heh heh.
You know sometimes i wonder, since a lot of people seem to love Tali's voice in addition to other things, if Liz Sroka ever reads these forums, would she be flattered, or terrified? lol
id be willing to bet a little of both to be honest. everyone here is pretty much in total agreement that, while bioware's gifted writers created tali, liz is what "made" tali into the character that we all love and adore. im sure shed be flattered. i mean, take a look at smore006's polls that he made. looking at the results for the age demographic in regards to tali fans, its not an overwhelming amount of prepubecent teens flooding over tali because they see her as some sort of sex symbol. looking at the results, its a varied demographic, showing that while there are a couple of age groups that stand out the most in the poll, it is by no means unanimous to any one group. and i think that says a lot about what bioware and liz accomplished in making tali what she is today.
on that note, i think she might also be a little terrified. i say that because, while the overwhelming fan support is always welcome, there are some that might try and take it over the edge. there are always those "fanatics" willing to do anything and everything to even get close to those that they hold on such a high pedestal. i have no doubt that after liz's stellar performance in me2 with tali, that she might have some stalkers, peeping toms, etc. constantly trying to get within earshot of her to say "been there, done that, got the t-shirt to prove it too!!!"
regardless, biowares writers and liz sroka did a fantastic job bringing the character to life, and tali is, by far, the most emotionally engaging character i have seen in my 20 something years of being an avid video game fan. bioware has really outdone themselves this time, and its almost to the point where they can only go downhill from here. but, lets just hope that me3 proves me wrong.
