I despise Deus Ex Machina devices that magically bring characters back to life but in order to make Tali a full time character that might be needed for players who let her die.  My love of Tali over rides my distaste for cliches.  Plus I bet Bioware could make up something believable. 
I second the wedding idea as well.

It should be that if that character dies, then the game recongnizes that and won't be present in your ME3 playthough. If she's alive then you should be able to do all things with him you were able to in ME2.

If given the choice to jump through a portal right here, right now that was open for a short, limited period of time only in to the ME universe, or stay here in our reality.....A very tough decision I find. My family, friends, indeed everything I have known is here and yet my heart and mind are captivated by the ME universe. I do think one should keep in mind that what we see of the ME universe are the exciting, daring, scary, heroic parts. We don't get to see the "Private Johnson! Scrub those latrines once more! They're still filthy!", etc. moments. Nor do we get to spend hours by Shepard's side as he fumbles his way through confusing tax forms and other bureaucratic red tape (just like we do here in our reality). A lot of the same day-to-day activities would be similar and I would caution against underestimating this observation: Throughout our human history, while the physical form of themes have changed (ex. we've gone from riding horses to riding in cars as one of the main means of transportation), the fundamental principle behind it (i.e. transportation in this instance) remains unchanged. Think of it as a painter's canvas where the painter uses the same canvas over and over again as he/she paints new pictures on it.

That said....I think I'd regret it for the rest of my natural life if I had such an opportunity as to jump from our dimension/university in to ME's dimension/university (and not just in a metaphorical sense as is the case when we play the games) and didn't seize the moment. Conversely calling my parents and sister one last time to tell them I love them before leaving this universe and going to an alternate one would weigh heavily on my heart. There are marvels to behold in both universes and equally ferocious dangers to face as well. I suppose in the end it really does boil down to what we each make of our lives.

Very true, though bear in mind that if we did enter the ME universe according to how we each played our Shepard, Tali would be interested in him and not us. Perhaps that could change with time. Perhaps not. Regardless, just the chance of having a conversation with her and perhaps getting to know her in actual person would be a boon, IMO.

Just dropping in to show some support for Tali. She is a great character and in the spirit of LI love I wanted to say, I hope she comes back in ME3 as well and give every one of her fans a great ending to the relationship.
