The replacement doesn't have to be a squad mate. It's not worth creating new squad mates JUST if a previous one died. If they do that, people are missing out and have to have a playthrough in which x character died. The character replacing can be a squad mate, like the Krogan leading the Urdnot clan instead of Wrex. to even import Shepard to ME3, you need to have at least 1-2 squad mates survive. Add Liara and Ashley/Kaidan to that list. That's at least 3, which is enough for a squad. Bioware could of course add a couple new squad mates independent of who lived or died in ME2. Then there's at least 5, which is about the number ME1 had. If Tali died in your playthrough, another Quarian NPC can take the reigns.

Doesn't Legion confirm that the Geth aren't even occupying the world, in fact they've been repairing it and tending to it as "caretakers" in order to reverse the damage of the Geth/Quarian war. Correct. This does hinge on the presumption that Legion is being truthful though. Personally I'm taking it at its word, but I have no hard, empirical data to support the claims it made on that count.

Lying is normally a organic trait used for defense so I really don't see Legion saying anything that was not truthful in regards to what the geth are doing. When he was confronted by Tali about sending the information and when he was confronted about how they function Legion told it like it was. I think they can have their home world back but only if they deal with the dangerous Heretic Geth first.

There is that, yet lying needn't be illogical from a strategic perspective. Obfuscating your intentions and misleading your opponent in order to weaken them and secure your own objectives is entirely logical, if devious. Thus I do not rule lying to be completely out of bounds for the Geth. That said, the Geth do seem quite up front about their intentions and do not hesitate to answer direct questions providing the internal Geth programs have computated a decision/outcome to the question.

I'm highly optimistic that a peaceful solution to the Geth-Quarian conflict is within reach. Speaking of the Heretics, I am curious to see what effect, if any, their experiences will have on the Geth collective providing one opted to use the virus on the space station instead of blowing it up.

Will require a lot of resources. But not even close to impossible. Bioware isn't exactly a small and resource-strapped company.

They have also said that how you treated your LI's in ME1/ME2(being faithful/single, etc) will have consequences for ME3. So yes, the LI's will transfer to some extent.

The fan following for certain characters is so huge that not including them in ME3 would be suicide and would hurt sales; it's safe to say that Bioware learned from their Liara and ash/kaidan mistakes.

The ME2 story revolved around building the greatest team in the galaxy. Just "splitting up" in ME3 would render that story utterly meaningless.

I am with you in this statement.  I don't see them not being prepaired for each of the major and minor decisions you were given the opportunity to make in ME2.

They didn't plan Garrus. And they planned on it...for ME1.

They only re-included it because of fan-demand.

I agree, I've been using dual monitors for many months now, and it's absolutely fantastic. I went with it primarily because of work, but even for recreational stuff it's just awesome.

There may be another way. There is an option in the PC version to use "full screen" or not. That could imply that it's possible to play ME in a smaller window. Your monitor should be of a certain size though in order to make this a non-taxing exercise.

My primary monitor is a 23 inch 1080p set, laptop siplay is 17 inch at 1440 x 900

Bioware at least makes an effort too please the fans. And for the most part pleases those with realistic expectations. As long as "will it make more money?" doesn't get involved with the game and it remains "will this make it a better game?" or "fan are gonna love this". Regardless of whats in ME3 guarranteed that everyone will buy it because the first 2 were amazing. I just hope they still try to make the game better than the other two....

wow... I remember posting back in the very first Tali Love threads on the forums last year, and look how far we've come! We succeeded in getting Tali a romance and gained soooo much support.



Tali has to return in ME3, she is the best character in the series and her romance was sooo awesome!
