Mass Effect is still Shepard' story.

Spot on. 

This may not have been planned but I noticed something small in ME1 when I was making another complete play.  After all conversation options for Tali have been exhausted in the first game, she always asks with considerable enthusiasm, 'Shepard!  Need something?' as though she is always eager and happy to see him/her.  For the male Shepard, I imagine this could be thought of as the first indicator that she is quite taken with him.

Thankfully, My Shepard stayed single throughout ME1.
But I can see some harsh insults on Ashley's behalf, followed by the toughgirl routine she puts up, along the lines of  "I don't need some inconsiderate xenophile yanking me along".
And poor Tali would either 1) Stand up and show you an extremely sexy strong side to her overly considerate Quarian demeanor. or 2) Get overly timid, and beg the question on if Shepard would rather have a "normal" relationship (which we all know is hogwash and Tali is pure love)

I think we have a winner....

I will feel bad. Not because I think my Shepard was actually unfaithful to Ashley, but because it's none of the three people's fault (i.e. Ashley, Shepard and Tali) yet someone's going to get hurt. A bad situation broke up the party and they tried to move on - some more successfully than others; the passage of time took its toll. Emotions do not play by quite the same rules however.

I do like Ashley and I anticipate feeling pangs of guilt once the the thunder comes down. Yet Tali's romance just melds and blends with me so much more naturally than any of the others - it feels far deeper and more meaningful. Besides, Tali was my first pick in ME1 as a love interest but she wasn't available at the time.

 

i have learned not to fight the forces of Nature and damn if  that relationship just did not fall right into place ... OH and for those  who are  worried that ME 3 that you previous  love interest might do something stupid... As much love as I have for Ashley... she even thinks about doing something Stupid like that and I will shot her myself.  

My sheperd relationship with Ash end  when the Normandy was destoryed and it was offical on Horizon... she would be smart no to ****** my shepherd off.

Tali'Zorah's loyalty mission is probably one of the best ones in the game. It wasn't the hardest mission, but it was one of the most meaningful ones. And I think it has the best sub plot to either have an expansion based on Geth and Quarian Wars, or have a huge role in ME3. That means more Tali!

Of course... and most companys succumb to the greed. Bioware hasn't yet, but I'm sure with EA breathing down their necks, and unfortunate Mass Effect MMO could be a reality. I would personally, want to keep it to a single player experience

Of course if they made more ME games, they would still have that amazing character driven gameplay we all love, just with different characters. You have to learn to move on eventually. Though, I do love the ME2 cast, if they could make more games with them, it would be even better.

Crap, so I decided to make a new character. I was goint to play the renegade playthrough. I tried it last playthrough, but I just can't be mean to the Quarians and especially Tali. So I am about to show the Quarians the evidence against Tali's father and my x360 graphics start acting up. I reboot and get the E74 error. Now I can't plat me2 for 14-21 days while the console is being repaired. Noooooooo! My X360 is punishing me. As for the other conversation, if Tali isn't in me3 I will not pre-order it and I will not buy a new copy. I will wait and buy a used copy. Yes I am a fan and will get it, but I will not reward the company for cutting out my favorite character.

i can only forsee it ending in tears for both parties. unless liara stays all coldhearted and stupid. then tali would kick her all up and down engineering. and then we could toss her into the depths with jack.
jack seems to be permenantly pissed at me just because i love tali....

Watch Liara go all Asari commando....Though, given her reception of Shepard in ME2 - without or without being the ME1 love interest, I think Liara has ended up locking herself out from her feelings towards Shepard. Whether she can get back in remains to be seen.

More Tali is just what the doctor ordered.  Even Jacob seems to like Tali when, after Legion comes aboard, he goes, 'Tali's going to flip' or something along those lines.

I don't understand the question. If you played as in, no at Shepard?

If that's what you're asking, then yes. Though I do like playing as Shepard, I love the ME universe, and I would still buy ME3, even if they dropped Tali and Garrus.

I will go ahead and say I wouldn't buy the game if Tali is reduced to the point of liara/ashley/kaiden status.. The only good part in ME2 compared to ME1 was Tali as a LI. They take that away and I'm done.

Of course we will mate, I've spent eighty bloody quid getting this far, I'm not putting that money to waste.  i'm poor.  that's why I play it on a 360.

Ahem. Off-topic but here goes, if you buy enough games for your Xbox 360 it will cost you more than if you invested in a PC, providing you play on the PC for a certain amount of years with minimal or no upgrades. The catch being the initial investment needed to get your foot in the door.
