I voted, Bioware would have to be mad to ignore the love for Tali. I bet they put her in Mass Effect 3, but then they will kill her off because they know it will get a huge emotional response....

I know it's "just a game" yada yada, but I would feel like a fist of cold granite had just been punched down my throat in to the bottom of my gut if they did that and didn't provide an alternative happy ending. After the initial shock and numbness were to wear off a bit I suspect I'd begin to feel the rising heat of white-hot anger....Not a happy place to be and certainly not conducive to good feelings all around, so how about you just keep the options open, eh BioWare?

when I go to shopping I bought some model-spaceship for my collection but I wish I could be able to buy some kind of a gift for my Tali...

Yeah I would feel the same way, that would be pretty crushing if it happened

So far all of Biowares games, and indeed all games with a romance element, follow a similar formula of cultivating a love interest over the course of a game with the characters ultimately getting together at the end.

This is all fine and well but Bioware has a unique opportunity here to do something revolutionary and ground breaking. Since ME3 will be the last of a Trilogy it is entirely possible to START a game already in a relationship.

Although I understand why they whisked your original LI away in ME2 to give players more options for future games and to generate drama that problem no longer exists in ME3.

For the first time in gaming history it is possible to start a game with relationship you have already spent 40 or even 100+ hours investing in.

From a logic point of view this only makes sense.

From a story point of view it instantly raises the stakes and invests you. Especially with Biowares history of killing characters.

From a design point of view if Bioware focuses more on past LI options rather than creating new ones that frees up a tremendous amount of resources that could be used to flesh out the game world or maybe even make existing LI elements more epic.

This is a long way of saying I want my Tali back and it's in Biowares best interests to do so.

I am currently visiting family to watch the Super Bowl tomorrow (or rather, today), so I can't play ME2 until Monday. I'm having Tali withdrawals....

Yeah I agree, it could make for something very different and interesting. I really would love to see it like that, start off with your LI from ME2 already in a relationship. I like the idea of that.
