You don't even have to kill Ash. I kept her around, and when I got to Horizon, all I got was a friendly handshake and a, "WHAT THE **** ARE YOU DOING WITH CERBERUS!?!?!"

Mordin's like "Too focused on Cerberus. Blind to real threat"......"What he said!"

My only import char is a lv60 Paragon, and yes, no picture of anyone in my cabin. Noone to pick me up from sitting in ME1 after getting shafted by the council.  No love scene.

And it was totally worth it.

2nd playthrough on ME2 as a Renegade this time, and I'm supposed to romance Jack...but I'm having a tough time....cuz I just recruited Tali. So Jack is out...and I don't think I could even go for Miranda. The whole point of replaying the game is to explore all the content (minus FemShep romances ) but I'm gunna end up doing the same romance with Tali with every playthrough. *sigh*

Yep I'm the same. I've just started a game in ME1 so I can import without a romance haha, and so I can bring Tali absolutely EVERYWHERE with me  

Its funny, I started my second playthrough of ME2 with my renegade FemShep but I couldn't bring myself to do it at first. I just had to stick with Tali.. haha. So I started a second time with my main Shepard who I just finished ME2 wth. Playing through with him again on hardcore difficulty now.

I would consider killing Ashley on Virmire, only because when I started ME2 with my single Shepard, Ashley was the one running around putting fires out with me. If she had died, I wonder if it would be Liara (because on my female import with Liara as my LI she was on the Normandy).

Why isn't it possible to have Tali or Garrus putting out fires with you? Would have been epic. Instead I got Ashley runnin around on the ship and giving me hand shakes on Horizon. Maybe I shoulda bromanced Kaiden.

Anyways, I'm playing ME1 over again, and I got to the part where we get Tali, and Ashley's like:

"What do we do with her, the Quarian?"
Tali: "My Name is Tali".

Right then I knew Ashley had to go.

I'm surprised people are only NOW starting ME1 characters with no LI's, I figured everyone would have their lv60 bachelors all ready for ANY of the ME2 romances..cuz didn't we all know the LI's for ME2 would be 10x better than the ones from ME1?

Anyways how are you guys doing with your Renegades? So far I'm having trouble because everything I do ON the Normandy (talking) is Paragon and everyone off the Normandy is Renegade...so I'm pretty much half and half (how can you be mean to Thane or anyone in your crew?). I want red eyes and a wicked scar AND Tali...darn.

So many questions, actually. I love this game.

It depends on how you look at it. I would see Miranda's as a fling, though that isn't in ME1. I personally don't remember much from ME1, because it's been about 3 years since I've played it.

Heh, I only romanced Tali in my 1st playthrough. The second I accidentally romanced noone, and now romancing Miranda. Just for the curiousity. Next playthrough will be Tali or Jack, and then yeah.

Again it's merely to explore everything in the game. Every dialog, everything I can.

They are not flings, heck everything that liara has been doing for the two years that you have been "dead" was for you, you must have not seen her dialog when she breaks down and tells you she still and always had, cared about you.

Liara. She's easy to get, and basicly becomes just like her mother.
That's a fling for me.

If she's gona go all pissed on me and send Biotic commando's because I went with a charc with moar dept then she can die of Squirrel Aids.

Well after Ash's display at Horizon, it's definitely over for me with her

Well, I guess Liara would be a bit better, as she did liek, you know, found your body (Redemption)

Still, I don't see Either Liara or Ash having a 'true' connection to Shepard. Like, when he was announced dead, they just moved on.

Tali probably bawled her eyes out for a couple of weeks, and it's evedent that she cared for you so much in later conversations, plus to shock when she see's you the first time AND her talking about you in the logs at Haelstrom.

Agreed. While I haven't served in some of the places you've mentioned, Moth, I can relate. I've never felt so pacifistic as when I was an active soldier. Had something to do with suddenly having the authority to use lethal force and being taught  how to use certain equipment and shown just what the consequences of their usage can lead to.

I have to agree with you.  It takes are real sick person to get into real life violence and be able to contiue it without wearing down mentally.  Shepard will one day need to stop and enjoy what he has fought for.  Tali will be the one to give him that comfort if I have anything to say about it.

Let me shake your hand sir.

He'll need her love to cope with the nightmares of burning ships, dying friends and dead civilians thatwill haunt him for his whole life.  Although you can't forget, a real, true love is enough to help you cope.

I dont think I did that mission.  How do you get it?

IIRC you find it by scanning one of the outer lying planets. Don't recall which one unfortunately.
