Exactly. Which makes the 'peaceful resolution' that much easier to attain. The Quarians simply need to understand that the Geth have no feelings of remorse, hatred, or revenge. They just need to find a conclusion that benefits both sides.
They need to reach a peaceful and mutually useful agreement.
And i am sure that the geth are willing to work something out.
They are all about the logic, while quarians are still pretty emotional about everything that happened.
Let's put it this way, if your toaster, which is a damn machine, suddenly rose up and kicked you out of your own home, how would that make you feel?
The fact that the Geth are soulless machines doesn't seem to be getting across well to you people, them being self-aware doesn't make them people or give them souls or feelings, it simply means they KNOW they exist.

There is no proof the Geth are willing to hand over the worlds, why not have done so by now?
Nor is there any proof the Quarians would get crushed.I agree it wouldn't be easy, but no proof to what your saying.

Hm. So what exactly is it about us organics that proves we have a soul? We are aware that we exist and we appear to conclude that this means we have souls despite having no empirical evidence to validate it.
Thats it! I been trying to place the similarity for a couple of days now. Thank you for figuring it out.Xena_Shepard wrote...

They haven't done so by now, because as Legion stated if you take him along on Tali's loyalty mission, that everytime quarians and geth have met, the quarians responded with hostility.
Legion said peace with the quarians is possible if they would pursue it.

That's it. No agression shown at this point whatsoever. If the quarian master had simply replied 'erm...No you don't, but hey you have more intelligence now, good on you. Let's chat' the whole thing could probably have been avoided and the quarian and geth could probably have co-existed peacefully.
But no, the quarians panicked and attempted to wipe out the geth. The geth merely responded in self defence.
I still took Tali's side in the argument, but I was playing a Hep who didn't want Legion within hacking distance of the ships comms either so it'd have been a bit hyprocritical for him to pass over Tali's omni-tool.

Don't get me wrong here, Tali is one of my (if not the) favourite characters in ME. She was pretty much my only choice for an LI for my Shepard, and I really like the quarians as a species.
But I find it hard to take their side VS the Geth. The event that started the whole thing was a gath platform demonstrating self-awareness by asking it's master 'Do I have a soul?'

The beauty of Mass Effect is that you probably do either. If you want to help the quarians exterminate the geth then Bioware will probably let us. Or if you want to help them reach a peaceful arrangement, Bioware will probably let us do that too. They'll probably even let us help the geth to destroy the quarians.
Mass Effect. You gotta love it
The quarians?? HERESY! Tali would definetely hate you for that.
I don't just love Tali, I like the quarians too...I guess because seeing a quarian female makes me think of my sweet Tali. : < *needs her Tali*

I oughta send a picture of myself cuz I resemble Shepard (blue eyes, nicely shaped skull). Anyone else go to extreme nerdiness for this game to feel more connected to it? Cuz I swear if I still had my long hair I wouldn't have felt nearly as much like Shepard.
