Some people take it a bit far, but the general idea is that we all support Tali as a returning character in ME3. And please, let's not even begin to compare the writing at BioWare to that of Twilight. That's a totaly different topic, that doesn't even merit discussion.XX55XX wrote...
Anyone get reminded of Twilight hype when reading this thread? This whole thread reminds me of that "Team Jacob" thing and other such character-advocacy "movements" I see in soap operas, books, and other kinds of media.

How dare you mention Twilight in our thread!
I really dislike the Twilight series and all the hype surrounding it, but I do see your point.
The main difference is we're not young girls clamoring over a constantly half-naked guy who can turn into a wolf. We're post-teen males who are clamoring over a constantly fully-clothed female who happens to be an alien!

Hey, do you think this thread would be this long if Tali wasn't a proper LI? If they say, had an alomst-kiss like Samara and then left it.
Thoughts?
I'm still trying to get that scene with Samara! There is something about her that just...mmmm! If it weren't for the irresistible earnest sweetness and selfless love of Tali....

I oughta send a picture of myself cuz I resemble Shepard (blue eyes, nicely shaped skull). Anyone else go to extreme nerdiness for this game to feel more connected to it? Cuz I swear if I still had my long hair I wouldn't have felt nearly as much like Shepard.
Do it! You've piqued my curiousity.
Heh, i shaved my bread like my Shepard had it in ME1.
And in ME2 i changed my Shepard's beard like the one i have now.
So yeah, i would not feel as connected to Shepard in the game if
he would be too different from me.
Shaving ones own bread = epic win lol
What do you mean shanged your Shepards beard? You aren't default Shepard? Cuz that's who I was talking about getting my hair done like...Mark Vanderloo ftw.
Also not sure the regulations for posting your own pictures...if it's ok, you use photobucket?
I made my own Shep, i never use the default.
Well, when i started my second playthrough in ME2 i used imported char,
but i changed the appearance. And there i changed the beard to the closest
that they had to the one i currently support.
Right now i have just the goatee without mustache.
The customization of hair and facial hair is so bad that's the only reason I use default Shepard. That and I think the voice fits the character perfectly. My very first character was a custom and it just looked awful. You must be a good artist or at least good at likenesses cuz I could not get a decent face to save my life. I noticed tthe custom faces have their own code now, so it's easier to share a good custom face?
Is there a thread like in the other forums titled "Celebrity Likeness" for ME2? I'd love a Keifer Sutherland. I know once I'm bored of ME2 (haha funny thought) I'll just make faces of all my favorite people and characters. I'll definitely make a Sheva Alomar for FemShep.
How do you post pictures, is it the [/img] photobucket [img*] like on usual forums?
Back to the topic, I must say the infamous Tali lifesize doll does not resemble Tali at all. A hunk of white tape and a hoody makes her Tali? A true fan would have drawn on the mask with permanent marker.

Mine's loosely based on Keifer Sutherland. Believe me, it works.
Your beard you mean ?
Or the char face as well ?
Char face. I was in the grip of 24 fever when ME1 came out and the look just kinda stuck.

Indeed. The writing in Mass Effect is way better than Twilight (trust me, I've read the first book and it was awful). But I am simply noting the parallels for you all.
Sometimes I wonder if Tali is bordering the edge of overratedness... I like her, but Mordin and Liara are still the top dogs in my book. (I hope Liara comes back for ME3.)

Once again, Cobra speaks genius.
Though some people take it slightly too far sometimes, we're all here to have fun and talk about our favorite character is all. And so far, it's been quite fun doing so!

I dont look like default.
That is what my Shep looks like. Just with hair. First Shep had that beard so i shaved my
beard to look like that as well. But my beard was not as dark, bit lighter.
And the face has bit smaller eyes and more pronounced cheekbones.
What Tali and Miranda were thinking.

I wouldn't think so, Mordin, Thane, and Garrus have tons of fans, it just seems that this party, it just very vocal, as this has been stated a lot in other threads.
Personally, Garrus was my favorite in ME1, thought Tali took that cake, she's really developed from ME1, to ME2, and I like her character a lot. That being said, Garrus is still my bro, and Thane or Mordin would be #3
