Did anyone had this bug too? I walked into Talis trial and it didn´t start, but the conversation with Talis aunt was there. In my first playthroughs it worked fine and now I got this bug lol. Just restart the mission?

I like every squadmember and could talk abotu them, but seriously the more I read this thread and repeating my own thoughts, it makes me believe Tali is the main character. Depends on the background you select(ed) for Shepard. My Shepard's mother is the captain of the Alliance dreadgnaught "Ishimura" and declined a promotion to become a one star admiral because she feels she that it is a political move and that she is better able to honour her son's memory (she sends you an e-mai later when she finds out you are alive) that way, which repeating news casts broadcast throughout ME2. BioWare really went to town with all the major and minor stories.

Spacer background? I've got Earthborn and all I know is that I joined gangs and found an opportunity with the military. The side-quest with Finch was lame compared to I Remember Me. Then in ME2 I got an email from Finch.

Listening to Shepard talking to that girl for I Remember Me makes me wanna cry cuz that's not my import background. Is there more history to the Earthborn?

On-topic, I love the brainstorming by you guys concerning Mass Effect Beyond The Trilogy, keep it up, you pose interesting questions. Bioware made Shepard the protagonist, but nobody ever does anything for Shepard except friggen TIM. I think Garrus, Tali, or Joker should have been Shepards sidekicks for the series, ya know? If Bioware had known Tali and Garrus were MUST HAVES for ME2, who knows how they would have changed them in ME1? More personal? Like Tali and Garrus are your best friends and Ash/Kaiden/Liara are your LI's. In ME2 Garrus and you are even closer friends and Tali starts becoming more than a friend. Then imagine an ODST type Mass Effect game featuring Tali and Garrus. I'd love that, cuz they messed up ME1 by making my best friend Wrex run off. I loved my bromance with Garrus in ME1, I just wish he would have talked to me more during ME2. I felt like Thane was my new best friend, and Tali was my girl. Am I right that Thane had way more to talk about than Garrus? Obviously a new character etc etc but Garrus was doin a lot for 2 years, I wanted to shoot the brease like in ME1.

Sorry, I obviously have "best friend" issues lol I'll shut up now and go play games (when I say games I mean ME2)

Aye, my Shepard has the Spacer background.

I am of the same opinion as you regarding Garrus' dialogue - it seems a bit short. Thane seems to say more, then again I got him late in the game and spoke to him with smaller interims, so perhaps that has influenced my perception of the matter.

It's exactly what Bioware were aiming for, i for one am gald to be drinking this brand of Koolaid though.
Tali is and will always be one of the most amazing characters out there.

Why? Work on your body a bit.. or don't, but atleast have that Shepard demeanor about you and there WILL be that damsel in distress (in whatever form of distress!) that you can save. Then you are her Shepard-Commander. Just never let your guard down! You can save galaxies!

Look in the mirror and tell yourself "I am Commander Shepard!" and repeat that 10 times in a row every morning you wake up and Talis will fall for you around every corner!

They are out there, my fellow brothers. 

"I'm funny, charming, good looking and gosh darn it! People like me!"

My long term mindset concedes that there is hope of finding a woman capable of enthralling me the way Tali's character does. Experience also indicates that it certainly isn't the first time a relationship has come and gone, so again, it is possible a new one will arise (and possibly fall as well - it will given enough time whether due to passing away or other reasons yet that is neither here nor there at present time). Conversely it is also possible that one does not end up in a relationship with a woman of the calibre, or even in any romantic relationship. That is not meant to sound pessimistic; it is merely an observation of reality around us.

I would like to find that special someone and will continue to hold out hope that it will happen - who knows? It could happen any day now after all - yet if it doesn't happen, then other paths through life will be embarked upon. Some of these, I like to think, can be fulfilling in their own right as well if not perhaps in the exact same manner.

P.S. Interestingly enough I have noticed that I find my Paragon Shepard inspirational and it's perked my spirits up a bit; I'm in quite a bit better shape on the inside than I was half a year ago...Until the Taliforce CRUSHED my manly defences. *sigh*

I have a question if someone will answer. How do you find Dr. Chloe Michel? She sent an email saying she wants me and Garrus to go see her on the Citadel, where's she at?

Also is there a Renegade interrupt for the Quarian "thief" on the Citadel? The Paragon interrupt is pretty much a renegade option, cuz you shove around the police officer and the Volus. Awesome scene, I'm wondering if there's a renegade option if you have enough skill? I'm gunna take Tali with me when I do that quest. Maybe extra dialogue, maybe not, either way, it'll be awesome.

No there is not a Renegade interrupt.
And I don´t think shes around there, maybe in ME3 but I couldn´t find her in ME2.

Recruitable and love interest Tali makes sense to me. She is now part of your crew and your ship is now her home. Her name was changed to reflect that. If you didn't romance her, she still have a lot of motivation with staying by your side. She lost faith in the Admiralty board and she can work at patching things up with the Geth with more freedom aboard the Normandy. If you romance Tali in ME2 then she has even more reason to stick around.

One thing I'll find interesting is how Bioware deals with the fallout from Ashley/Liara if you cheated on them. Ash... Ash might just beat the holy hell out of you. I don't see her as being all that forgiving. Considering what Liara went through to recover your body, I imagine there being a lot of fallout from her. However, she might give you a very slim chance at forgiveness.

Seeing Tali's reaction to whatever happens will be pretty interesting. I hope they spend a good amount of time on that... and I hope Shepard has some kickass diplomacy skills to keep things kosher between them... or have the option to severely mess it up.

I was just beginning to feel safe and smug thinking about my Shepard's maxed out Paragon meter...and then I realised that it will likely be reset for ME3 (though perhaps with a bonus like in ME2 if you transfered your old Shepard). I'm under the distinct impression that it's going to get ugly when the crap hits the proverbial fan. Part of me is exhilerated to explore and experience how that unfolds, and part of me feels a bit nauseaus at the thought of getting back into a scenario where people's hearts will be in my hands and knowing BioWare someone will get hurt without fail. It's great because it mirrors reality and thus helps elicit genuine emotional responses to the game, and it is also for that very reason that it can be so brutal.

Observe her in the elevators or when standing still, she does this horribly adorable "bounce" with her tiptoes.

Yes she does...and she still does that in ME2 if you stand idle for long enough. No need to thank me and enjoy the show.
