This thread is my sanctuary of peace in this lonely period of time.
It isn't like I'm going to get one anytime soon anyway, so I'm not going anywhere.

And guys, thanks to all of you, we're doing the stuff of legend. I believe this is the most active thread in BioWare history. O_o If wee keep at it, we'll be in news articles stating "And thanks to this thread, new DLC is coming out," or "And this si why Tali's in ME3!"Okay, maybe I'm too optimistic, but still! Thank you.
No problem Warden you Rock and so does this thread!

Don't know if anyone is interested, but for my ME1 Earthborn import, I got this letter:
Hello from the Reds
From Finch:
Had family on a colony that got hit. I used some contacts with the Reds and found a couple of people who said they could get you this message.
You might not have much use for me. You spend too much time with the damn aliens, pretending your time in the gangs back on earth never happened. I know you weren't happy when I found you at the Citadel a couple years back.
But I'm glad you're on this. I hope you find whoever took my people on Freedom's Progress and kick their scaly asses. I'm glad it's a human finding these bastards. I'm glad it's you.
Do the Reds proud.
End quote.
So yeah I don't feel really attached to "the Reds" but hey, what can you do?
To be on topic, how would growing up with gangs affect me and Tali's relationship? For one thing she's used to danger, and she likes club music. Earthborn = Tali's favorite?
Well, "Spacer" would share a lot of commonalities with Tali's upbringing. Being a "third culture kid" myself (I'm now a a grown man) I grew up in Africa after my family moved there from Europe due to an international position my father was offered. After high school I moved to the US and attended university there. After earning my first degree I eventually moved to back to Europe (though not in my home country) and earned another university degree. After that I spent some time kicking around and not really finding much that interested me, I re-examined a childhood fascination: Military service. Spent a month reading up on it and then made plans to move back to my home country to volunteer. Spent just sort fo two and a half years there both in the military and in other jobs before moving to another country (where I'm at now) and I'm moving to another country closer to my home country at the end of this month. Why do I mention all these details? To illustrate the following point: I've spent so much of my life moving around that I can fit in almost anywhere and yet I may never truly belong anywhere fully again - not even in my ancestral home. It is a reality that has impacted many of my relationships. It would not surprise me in the least if Tali, Quarians in general, and other "Space" kids had similar experiences.
Confused. Is this the official Spacer biography? Lemme hear the Earthborn one if there exists one.
Also it's probably of no relevence to you but I finally heard Liz Sroka's line "and you, are an idiot" in the game. It was during the "Crime in Progress" assignment when I had Tali in my squad. Hurray for me.

Thanks for the replies. I end with a question and observation.
Does Tali's 2nd outfit (yellow) seem brighter? I like the originality of the first one (in color, cuz of the style-change), but it seems to dark. The whole game seems literally dark, I have my birghtness on max and it's still...very dark.
Also I noticed we all treat the LI's in Mass Effect like we do girls irl. We may not agree with what they're saying, but we always choose the I agree dialogue option no matter what lol like when Tali asks if you trust Cerberus, in my mind I trust Cerberus but I chose the paragon option "I fully expect them to stab us in the back". So that's the truth about dealing with women, You Don't Have To Be Right.
1) Tali's black, gold and silver/grey secondary outfit does appear brighter in certain lighting. Addendum: The secondary outfits of all the party members appear to be darker and more Cerberus oriented.
2) As Dr. Phil would say, "Do you want to be happy or do you want to be right?" My answer: Both, damnit!
