Just woke. Original thread is closed I see.

Correctomundo! Stanley Woo exclaimed "Holy cats! 380 pages???" and invited us to start a new thread before locking the old thread. Welcome back.

Good to be back. How is everyone?

I think "love sick" would probably sum it up. Image IPB

That it would, and it does. *sigh*

Ahem! Time for me to man up, take a shower and grab a burger meal. Gotta keep some male dignity after all....Isn't that right Moth?;)

Hell yeah I hear that, it would and does sum it up quite well Image IPB

Aye, I do comprehend why many women may not feel the same gushing desire for Tali, but I am a bit surprised by the apparent lack of female input.

You are of course free to express your views and I support your right and freedom to do so. No one should feel afraid to speak out, IMO.

That said, there has been no official indication that our actions are harming anyone - certainly not intentionally. If our enthusiasm for Tali'Zorah is a source of annoyance to some other posters that is unfortunate, yet this is a thread specifically dedicated to Tali related subjects (and others from time to time). We aren't trying to cause problems for others and we try diligently to observe BioWare's forum rules in here. What's the problem? If others don't care for the spirit in here I hope they are able to find other threads more to their tastes.

Concur. Certainly wish no harm upon other posters. Just want to express our love for Tali, and this thread gives us that.

Okay -- I think the "phrase" is different for each ship.

When Lemm says his, its "The quest for knowledge sent me away from my people; now the discovery of wisdom has bought me back"

When Tali says hers its "After time adrift among the open stars, along tides of light and through shoals of dust, I will return to where I began"

And when Golo says his, its "My body travels to distant stars, but my soul never leaves the fleet"

That would make sense. I remember thinking to myself that revealing one of the secret pass codes for admittance to the Flotilla on a Cerberus ship that was still under the watchful monitoring eye of TIM might not be such a hot idea if the same phrase is used by others.

So far all of Biowares games, and indeed all games with a romance element, follow a similar formula of cultivating a love interest over the course of a game with the characters ultimately getting together at the end.
This is all fine and well but Bioware has a unique opportunity here to do something revolutionary and ground breaking. Since ME3 will be the last of a Trilogy it is entirely possible to START a game already in a relationship.
Although I understand why they whisked your original LI away in ME2 to give players more options for future games and to generate drama that problem no longer exists in ME3.
For the first time in gaming history it is possible to start a game with relationship you have already spent 40 or even 100+ hours investing in.
From a logic point of view this only makes sense.
From a story point of view it instantly raises the stakes and invests you. Especially with Biowares history of killing characters.
From a design point of view if Bioware focuses more on past LI options rather than creating new ones that frees up a tremendous amount of resources that could be used to flesh out the game world or maybe even make existing LI elements more epic.
This is a long way of saying I want my Tali back and it's in Biowares best interests to do so. :)

I concur and like the way you think, good man (I presume).

I am indeed of the male persuasion but I'd like to think the fairer sex would agree.  In fact I would like to hear more from women who like Tali.  It seems that most posts so far are from men.

Aye, I do comprehend why many women may not feel the same gushing desire for Tali, but I am a bit surprised by the apparent lack of female input. There has been some, but it's been few and far between. Perhaps the fairer sex are also more wary about revealing their presence in order to avoid overwhelming online male attention (though good luck with that ladies, you're going up against Tali :D). Of course there's also the distinct possibility the the ladies are fawning over some of the ME2 male love interests in other threads.

Quite possible.  Tali has the benefit of looking however we want her to look but I'm shocked at the level of female interest in Garrus.  Don't get me wrong, Garrus is the man and my bro for life but I'm still surprised so many woman want to get down with a Raptor that has half his face blown off.

Correct. We were invited by Stanley Woo, a BioWare staff member, to start a new thread if we wanted to. Some of us evidently wanted to.

I'm planning to turn my fiancee into a Quarian without her noticing. Any ideas?

Hmm... If I were you I wouldn't try to do it without her noticing. I would make sure that she wanted to become a Quarian because, in my opinion, there would be nothing worse than successfully turning her into a Quarian just for her to realize that something is wrong with you and then decide to leave. I like her personality... I always used her in my squad in ME1 too- always her and Liara.   I was really psyched to see her again and so soon in ME2! I just think she's a fun character with a lot of spunk and stories to tell; her background is cool.

That said, I can't say she's my fave (sorry! ) but she's definitely a great addition to the game. I can't pick a favorite actually... I like quite a few of the squad. But I would really love her to be ME3 so I'm right with you all!

I think that the current squad you have will be available in ME:3 apart from a few...

- Thane

- Grunt

- Samara (she said that shes gonna help people in Omega)

Maybe more, but I think that you will have to rebuild your team again in ME:3 as most of them will have gone their seperate ways.

And ofc some will be added

I realise what I'm about to type will seem like a double-standard and that my position to pass judgement may be somewhat limited considering that I'm a heterosexual male in touch with his feminie side, yet still a heterosexual male, that said it seems to me like the male/bi-sexual love interests got the better deal this time around. Not that Garrus and Thane don't hold appeal - presumably Jack and Miranda are romanceable by female Shepards as well? - yet they just seem to lack a bit of the punch that the male players' options offer. Then again, I like the femal assets which may not be of as much interest to heterosexual women....And I did end up falling hard for the most alien of them all. Tali.

Not sure if thread would fit in with builds and strageties. There are many posters here that post various pieces of art and fanfiction. Not exactly builds and strageties.

She has so many assets that she could very well be called an assassin.
