She reminds me Aerie from BG2, not only by her sentences but by her general behaviour, and she was definitely one of the things that made BG2 so great.

Highly disagree with this evaluation.
Every character except one is killable so far (Liara), so they would need a whole new cast.  Not only is that a lot of work, but they would decrease people's emotional involvement in the story.  They've already come out and said that they want to continue the relationships with surviving characters.  It also would completely defeat the point of the last mission in ME2 if they just got rid of all of the characters.  Really the ONLY defensible reason you might make that assumption is that they wouldn't want to "waste" resources by voicing characters that some people may not see.

But even that isn't a good reason.  First, it would defeat the idea of having consequences to player decisions (a major point of even making the game a trilogy), and second, it simply increases replayability.  If you finish ME3 after having Garrus, Jack, and Thane die in ME2, it may just motivate you to replay ME2 and carry those characters into ME3 to experience their stories.  Since many people will likely do multiple playthroughs, none of the voice acting is really "wasted"... people will eventually experience much of it, just not all on the same character.

I expect most surviving ME1 and 2 characters to return with full roles and dialogue, possibly minus a few that have good reason to leave (Wrex, Samara/Morinth, for instance).

 


AND  Samara  even says if you talk to after game that she is essential staying on the Crew... what more a Worthy cause for Jusiticar than fighters the Reapers...  ME 2  is really about introducing the cast of the ME 3 if you really think about it... why waste resources on making a new cast of the Characters when you have put so much into making the Cast of ME 2.   Now that they introduced the Cast for ME 3 in ME 2 they can focus almost totally on closing the storyline out with a  bang.

samara will also probably try to kill renegade shep.After the mission of ME2 of course.

Tali needs to split i believe.Or die in some heroic way could help the story.

Come on Yaz  don't  let him get to you, it amusing watching the sad  excuse, try to bring down a  thread,  that just keeps on  going and rockin' no matter what he does... he is trying to paint as rabid fanboys/girls, and fails EVERY time. I am i have not seen so much fail sense the Detroit Lions went  0-16  but hey at least they can say it was a Perfect fail... He  can't even get a proper flame war going so thats Fail  squared.

Liara didn't have as nearly a big a part in ME2 as she did in ME1 - they could have easily cut her out altogether and simply referenced her. But half the point of importing characters is to include some sort of compensation for taking the time to play/buy ME1 - and they did. Wrex was still awesome, Garrus was more awesome, and Tali acknowledged your role in her Pilgrimage. No matter how small the role was, Bioware boasted that everything you did was there to see.

And they're doing the same for ME3.



On a side note, I want a Quarian avatar. Turians don't have anything on Quarians are.

BW can boast all they want doesnt mean they will deliver.

Making easier on them means for a better game and less error.

NP  stick around I am going to firing up  Mass Effect Radio soon.. so we  be rockin  in her again. Talkin about all things Tali and Mass Effect in general. If you have love for Samara, Miranda, Jack , garrus(plenty of the Garrus fans in here)  its all good... Just keep it peaceful ...if not  we may to get the Doctor on you..

Man, I hated Tali's ME1 sidequest....anytime I spent a lot of time in the Mako, I was not happy. And it upset me that she needed Geth parts, and not just any Geth (like the ones you fight the whole game), but these specific Geth.

It was nice to have acknowledge it. (On least on the only ME1 playthrough I bothered to do it.) Although I have to admit when she was accused of bringing Geth parts back to the flotilla, I couldn't help but wonder if I had a mistake.

Did anybody notice the vehicle controls in ME2 options? Whats that even for? I don't remember ever piloting a vehicle.
