Seriously, what's up with that one? o.O Wrex, we're still cool. Kaidan, you're excused too, on account of being dead... )
I really hope Tali returns for ME3. I can't honestly say I wouldn't buy the game if she didn't return, but I'd be seriously disappointed. It doesn't always have to be new characters. I for one, like the ones that grew on me. And for the love of god, please keep her consistent with herself... I don't need Liara 2.0
...what?
Out of all of the ME1 squadmates, Liara is the one that's done the most for you out of loyalty.
Or does saving Shepard's corpse from the collectors and giving it to cerberus not count?

I agree. Dark, veangance-filled Liara seemed really out of character with the awkward, socially naive workaholic of the first game.
I'm love ME enough to buy it without Tali but it will always be an exercise in what could have been...

I am going to ****ing rage like crazy if it was like that. But Bioware won't do that to us
I hope so, I mean some people won't even likely play because of this

I liked it, but I'm pro-reveal. It's not that I'm insanely curious to see what she looks like, but when you force something into a scene just to keep up this constant joke of "Quarian's secret identity" it becomes a problem.
Tali was dying (almost literally) to show you (via Shepard) her face when she hasn't shown it to anyone else. It was a build up of a very special moment and then they avoid her face at all costs just to keep up the joke. Suffice to say, I was completely distracted by the joke.

I am certain ME3 will pick up where ME2 left off. It just makes ense given what happened, they don't need to repeat ME2's opening again.
If that's so, I hope ME3 starts with Jacob and Jack having a fight wherein Jack bio-throws an object to Jacob and Jacob deflects the object which then flies through the a window with great force followed by Jacob and Jack both being vaccuumed out into space after they break their necks in the process.

True but it was enough of a shift to completely put me off. Considering my first priority when getting out and about was finding my former LI I felt it a bit of a wasted effort. Plus, I felt the urge to repair my face in time for the reunion so that took some time but I can't blame Liara for that

Of course, but a simple possibility doesn't make it likely. Therein lies the difference. As long as Shepard ain't sick and his bedroom is clean, and she has her immuno-boosters things will be fine. After a few weeks and months her body will start getting used to it and it won't be an issue

Totally, I was just gonna write something similar. To me, it doesn't make a lot of sense, especially if you consider that Asari seem to grow up much slower than humans. She was that "awkward, socially naive workaholic" for what? 50 years at least? And now she's pretty much Han Solo. Shooting first when confronting her subordinate traitor lady... Bullying people around. Nobody changes that much in 2 years. For crying out loud, she didn't change much after she had to kill her own mother.
I never liked Ash much, but it made me laugh when she called me out on being with an anti-alien organisation when I had not one, but two non-humans with me. Hello? Pretentious much? Does not seem overly consistent either...
I'm really glad Garrus and Tali are more consistent. They were always my favorites anyway. Garrus even got funny somewhere along the way

Oh don't get me wrong! I like her regardless of the face reveal thing (and that's kinda my point why they shouldn't be scared to show her).
As for it being a joke... if it's not a joke, then it's a gag. If it's not a gag, then it's a gimmick. If it weren't so, they'd have shown Tali's face. Hell, even in ME2 the Eternity bartender says in reference to getting old "One day you wake up and everyone forgot what Quarians look like under that suit". Quarian's identity has just been some big secret since the beginning that Bioware just wants to keep pushing home. Regardless of touching moments.

Hey hey kids, thought I'd drop in this fine wednesday lunchtime and see how my favourite Tali lovers are doing!
Well I'm making it my personal mission to see that we reach 300 pages by the time I finish lunch.
So anyway everyone, I have a question for you.
Did you always love Tali or are you a convert?
I'm a convert myself, formerly Liara. Tali just won my heart in the end and I'm never going back!
Yeah. When I found out Tali was an LI in ME2 I went back and replayed ME just to make sure I had no LI beforehand. I don't want a confrontation in ME3.

He fails either way. Did you see what I wrote in response? The 'possibility' is there simply in the case that Shepad himself becomes sick, or infected. We know from real cases that even very weak immune systems can adjustover time to certain factors and build themselves up. We also know that a body (not just human, any) can grow to becme exceptionally resistant to all sorts of environmental factors, including allergies, bacteria, viruses, etc. So of course after a while she would adjust to it. Eventually she could have sex with Shepard without it being a worry. Its just a concern for the first few times especially because its something new, but we know that she only got a little sick with the immuno-boosters and even said.. "it was totally worth it." and continues to cuddle with shepard on the couch and sleep with him in bed (and presumably do more of the horizontal mambo)
