I just want to say that I support Tali too :)

Would be great if we actually can help Quarians retake their homeland from Geth and help build them first city with house for Tali or something, maybe that still could be even in ME2 as DLC. Who knows.

Anyway Quarians said that it would took very long to adapt planet back for them and also to adapt themself so they can pt masks away. I wonder if theres some connection with that Weather changing gizmo you can found on planet taken by Geth (it have dark fog all around with very low visibility)

Glad to have you onboard, Aubrey! Welcome! :)

If you don't mind me asking, since you are a posting female (a fairly rare occurrence on this thread,) would you be willing to share with me what it is you find appealing about Tali'Zorah?

I hope Ashley gets eaten by Thresher Mawl (mind my spelling). And Miranda and Jacob get hitched and Jack .... does whatever Jack does.... Then it just leaves Tali. Woot woot!

So as we near the end of the second thread, question to ask everyone.

Has it been worth it? (like I don't already know the answer)

Every single minute was worth it, period.

I agree! Mordin's loyalty mission far more emotional than I thought it would be, considering what you know of him before doing this mission. It's nice how they really make you think, was the genophage a huge mistake? Or was it something that was needed for the greater good?

I settled for my own conscience on the explanation that Mordin gave: the genophage just compensates for the reduced environmental pressure. In other words, the genophage just reduces the growth of the species to the same level as before they were "uplifted" by the salarians (by giving them technology and taking them to other worlds, worlds less dangerous than their home planet).

Granted, you might say this is just self-justification... But the way Mordin explains it, it makes sense. He specifically says that the genophage was hard to make because it's not intended to completely kill the Krogans - just reduce their fertility levels to a very precise level.

PS: Tali rocks!

It does make sense logically speaking, yet I find it difficult to ignore the Krogan comment about "You understand nothing human! Seeing the piles of stillborn babies", etc. Mordin is correct by my estimation: The Krogan were introduced to galactic society before they were ready. It was a selfish act borne out of desperation by the Salarians, though understandable it does not lessen their complicity in the events that have followed.

It was absolutely worth it. I highly approve of how they handled the romance, and really showed us Tali's perspective, her emotions about having to spend her whole life cut off from a world of sensations that everyone else takes for granted.

From reading some of the threads before the game came out, and some of the developer commentary, I was almost afraid the suits would be retconned, like they're really no big deal. Just some casual affectation. But that was clearly not the case. Hearing Tali talk about being unable to do something as simple as smell a flower, and her anguish over that, was heartbreaking. And of course it made the eventual culmination of the romance so much more significant. There is sensuality to the Tali romance, of course, but there is also a very deep emotional connection and commitment to Shepard that I feel is lacking in some of the other romances.

I know, a more interactive crew would be nice. I'd kind of like it if joker teased you about your LI, or maybe EDI tells you how she watched the whole thing and admires your technique. Something to laugh about and make you a little uncomfortable at the same time.

I thought it would be great if you walked into talk to Mordin and Tali was there doing her "research". She'd get all shy and mumble something about the engines then walk out quickly.

I must say I really like her personality, shes so nice and its simply great to talk to her, and also a bit cute :)
Also missions with Tali are the best, I loved that misson at fleet tho we discovers true about her father dead :(
I wish there was more options for talking with Tali (well with all aboard ship).
In ME I have Tali the whole time in my team and it was totally worth it :) So in ME2 as soon as I could go get her I did so from that time  she was with me on every mission.
Too bad you cant talk to her so much if you play female Shepard :(  After DA:O nad ME1 I thought it will be possible... well we can wait  for some DLC or ME3

The last time we saw someting like that it didn't go down too well.  In fact it brought a lot of stuff up...

Concur. Disturbing how someone would actually do that. More disturbing with what he did with it.

just one piece of advise... don't buy a used one.  eeeewwwwww (sick - I know)

damn it....all i meant was like  something you would be able to see every  day to remind u of her not a sex doll lolImage IPB(not that tali isent attractive its just wrong and very disrespectfull to her character, but she is fine....DEM HIPS DAT ASS!) lolImage IPB

Ask around for the Tali bed cuddles pic.  That shows me everything I need to see. ^_^

Oh I don't know. I wouldn't mind seeing a steamy rendition of Tali's skin wet and half covered in smooth soap bubbles/foam while in the shower....

lol, only question. w/ or w/out the helmet?

That's a no brainer. Without.

Would be better if Mordin trying to help. Wouldn't get uncomfortable around Shepard.
