you can also see so many similarites between German and English.

And yes there are many similarities between English and German.
To me English was the most easiest language to pick up^^ But there is one thing about German that drives almost every non-native speaker insane, because we have 3 articles "der, die and das" as in English there only is "the".
But yeah in fact I like almost every language(like to learn russian).

i took some French and i just gotta say thats such a damn hard language... theres a way to say your gonna do something in the past as if its the future or something really weird liek that so i just thought "woah time to switch to Spanish" ;P

German i think is easier for me, der is for male, die is female, and das is plural if i'm not mistaken...
I already know the basics so i know its der mann, die frau, and das madchen i don't know why madchen is das though... i don't think i'll ever take German in school though, i have no electives to take it in the only German i know if from Rammstein and their a good teacher!

There's likenesses between English and a host of European languages.

Not necessarily, in fact I find it hard to learn East-European languages because I can´t relate most of the words to word familiys I know in other Languages. The only thing I noticed is that there are similarities between Romanian and Italian language.(I speak Romanian too, doesn´t matter anyway because English is the world language though)
Just had to get that off my chest lol

Eastern European language base is slavic.
For English, it is a mix of:
Numerous original languages
Latin (Roman occupation)
Saxon/Angle germannic language
Norman language
Danish.

And more I forgot.

"Das" is for "genderless" or whatever it´s called ^^

Yes thats right in theory^^ Looks different in practice. "Der Bus"(the bus) for example, you would think its a thing, an object but it´s got a male article.
Where car is actually the same, an object, but it´s "Das Auto". 
That´s why it drives so many people insane if they aren´t native speaker
