Either that or short hair makes the most sense to me. I keep wondering how Samus gets all that hair in her helmet, Tali would have the same issue with long flowing locks.

A human wearing a suit/hat for an extended period of time leads to irritation and hair-loss. Since Quarians never-to-rarely remove their suits, it can be speculated that the suit itself guards against irritation and/or keeps the wearer clean and at optimal humidity levels. Otherwise, the suit would cause severe discomfort and adverse reaction. Taking this into account, it isn't too farfetched to speculate that Quarians could have hair... Though evolution in regards to suited life would probably lead to its ommission... 300 years probably isn't long enough for that, however.

I think the weirder question would be, if they are literally physically linking there suits, where was that admiral attached to Tali's mom while she was giving birth? 
Maybe they were joined at the hand, for moral support?
but then how did she carry Tali over and put her in a bubble? so confused...........

Let's face it, all of this boils down to one thing: Establish a damn homeworld and get those helmets and suits off now! Post haste! 327 years; it's been a long time coming!

Isn't. Adaptation takes longer. However, hair would be shorter. Down to neck at most. Unless Tali vain. No, Tali not vain.

Male Quarian's have that weird Tube thingy comin outta the back of their head. Maybe it's some kinda hair channel or something, which Tali might also have under her hood. Sounds kinda odd, but it just seems strange that a species with such a weak immune system would adopt a cultural practice of trimming there hair short, forcing them to leave there suits. Seems more likely to me that they would develops some method of allowing their hair to grow long, and continue to grow, without having get in the way, such as a hair tubule things

They mean linking up the room to the same level as their suits, because Quarians vary slightly in how their bodys act to it. They arnt all the same, so thats why all biosuits have to be custom made.

That's what I was trying to say. Link environments within a sterile room. Couldn't imagine a doc trying to deliver a baby through 2 suites w/ 2 people in 1 suit. Just doesn't make sense if birthrate is soo important as said in me1
