Personally I don't have a huge problem if BioWare were to cave in to pressure and make Tali a bi-sexual character, however please note the words "cave in". Yes, it's easy for me to sit here as a heterosexual male who's paragon Shepard swept Tali away, but there are times where we simply have to face the facts that some things and some people are not the way we would prefer them. While I consider Tali a far more valuable addition to ME than a weapon or power, I think it is fair to compare it to the different abilities and limitations of the different character classes. My soldier Shepard is a tank who calls down the thunder on the battlefield but no matter how badass he may be with a Revenant AR or the might M-920 Cain he's just not ever going to be nifty at tossing around Pull, Lift, and Warp all at the same time. If I want that experience I'll have to make a different version of Shepard. The same goes for people who want to romance Tali'Zorah or any of the other love interests that are not bi-sexual.
P.S. And just to be clear and fair here, if BioWare decided to make a female character that could only be romanced by a female Shepard I might be bummed out (depending on whether I found her to be an intriguing love interest), but I'd get over it and accept that that's just how that character is. I don't wish to turn this thread in to a discussion about gay rights, etc. - I support them having ALL of the same rights, including marriage, incidentally but that is a discussion for another time and place - but I do consider it disrespectful for people to force their sexual preferences on another person. Doesn't matter if they are heterosexual, bi-sexual or homosexual. It's a question of common courtesy and polite manners.
I think what he means to say is, if you don't like it then don't do it but don't think nobody else should do it either!
To be frank though, I'd actually think a femshep/Tali romance in ME3 would be quite touching, I mean considering the two-game build up I reckon it would be something quite special on a personal level for both characters. However, as I like to transplant a bit of myself into Shepard and make his experience my own I probably won't be taking that option, at least for a long time.
