Nah, I don't have *that* many orifices. :P

But I know what you mean. She is beautiful.

Bravo! You side-stepped that question like an expert politician. I'm warming to you, Elastica. Good for you. ^_^

On a less testosterone-charged tone, while I do appreciate Miranda's physical attributes and the fac that she is far from vapid up between her ears, there is....The person that is Tali just fits like a well tailored glove. Instant entry in to a comfort zone.

But I did answer your question... I lack that particular orifice that would bring the count to the max making me a female. :kissing:

And if that's not proof enough, know that the irony of a "less testosterone-charged" metaphor of a glove & entry in a comfort zone wasn't lost on me.

Yeah, that was bad. I suck.

 Your mind went to a place where mine often goes but which mine did not on this occasion regarding the glove metaphor! Shocking.

As for lacking the extra orifice comment, aye, I figured that made you a fellow male. :D But wait! While perhaps not officially an orifice, the male member does have an opening....Tie breaker anyone? Tali wants to know....:pinched:

P.S. My reading interpretation skills are apparently throwing me for bit of a loop, "....making me a female :kissing:". When I read that complete sentence it seems it can be interpreted either way (i.e. you are a male or  you are a female). The feminine emoticon leans more to the feminine but it's hardly a rock-solid indicator. And now to quote the good Shepard from ME1, "I feel like my brain is scrambled eggs!"

Actually, it was supposed to be honorablereese1490, but I accidentally deleted the first part and somehow pressed enter so it made that my name.  I haven't figured out how to change it either or I would, lol

Whilst i concur whoeheartedly, I still feel a part of me would be happy if it was just me and Tali in the whole universe.  Besides, no way to tell that if you both died she'd be there waiting for you.  i mean, do Quarians go to heaven?

That's the million dollar question, isn't it? Do any of us go to Heaven? Does a Heaven even exist? And so on and so forth. I suppose it comes down to this: Faith.

From a pragmantic perspective, if you believe in Heaven and there is none then you have lost nothing upon your death (unless the fear of not going to Heaven has made you live a life you would not otherwise have chosen, in which case I would advise a person take a long, hard look at themselves, where they are in life and what they truly think matters to them much earlier during said life). If on the other hand there is a Heaven and you go there then all is well. Still, what if every soul (presuming we have one) goes to Heaven automatically (which is why I personally believe) and thus it is irrelevant what your beliefs in life were (or weren't) and what your actions were as well?

Wasn't that speech at the end of the second Matrix film?

Not sure. I do recall that there was a philosopher - Descartes I think it was, but I could be mistaken - who argued that one might as well believe in God and secure your place in Heaven because if it turned out such did not exist you would have lost nothing, and if such did exist you would have gained everything. Furthermore, if such did exist and you did not believe you would have lost everything.

Personally, while I do comprehend the reasoning present in that argument, I do not approve of it's fearmongering (IMO). I do not care much for organized religion and much prefer to focus on individual and secular spirituality.

Well you see now I do believe that our very human emotions, such as our love for Tali, can inspire us to believe in things we would not necessarily believe in before.  If just the thought that Tali would be waiting for us in heaven would make it so then the world would be a very different place.  Is it a bad thing?  If it can inspire such heroic deeds as you suggest and give people the strength to make the decisions lesser ones would shirk then perhaps not.  In the end, though, love is our undoing, responsible for our greatest feats and most horrific acts of selfishness.

Precisely. No matter how dearly I would want to save her (or in our own world whomever I re-discover true love with), I...I can't justify signing billions (if not trillions if in the ME universe) of people's death warrants. Not for my own happiness. Sometimes someone's gotta take one for the team. "Welcome to the suck".

Not very memorable though.  I guess I could change my photo to the geth and be like # 1490, assuming the geth are numbered and not named.  That way I could pretend I actually typed the name on purpose, haha

Unfortunately, while we can optimize the number of openings giving one a dual function, mother nature opted for a separate solution in their case. So they win.

Go to the first page of the thread and find the banner you like.  Open the link in a new window.  Go up to your profile menu and select Profile>Forum Settings.  There will be a box to put a signature in: copy the image from that other window you opened, paste it in this box, and save.
