Any way, playing mass effect 1 again. Feels so wierd after playing the second one a dozen times, and tali looks sooooo much differnent

Alot looks different, but in that case I would say most of it is from better character models.  At least they didn't pull a Garrus with her, I mean he lost half his face!

Precisely. No matter how dearly I would want to save her (or in our own world whomever I re-discover true love with), I...I can't justify signing billions (if not trillions if in the ME universe) of people's death warrants. Not for my own happiness. Sometimes someone's gotta take one for the team. "Welcome to the suck".

Whilst i concur whoeheartedly, I still feel a part of me would be happy if it was just me and Tali in the whole universe.  Besides, no way to tell that if you both died she'd be there waiting for you.  i mean, do Quarians go to heaven? 

That's the million dollar question, isn't it? Do any of us go to Heaven? Does a Heaven even exist? And so on and so forth. I suppose it comes down to this: Faith.

From a pragmantic perspective, if you believe in Heaven and there is none then you have lost nothing upon your death (unless the fear of not going to Heaven has made you live a life you would not otherwise have chosen, in which case I would advise a person take a long, hard look at themselves, where they are in life and what they truly think matters to them much earlier during said life). If on the other hand there is a Heaven and you go there then all is well. Still, what if every soul (presuming we have one) goes to Heaven automatically (which is why I personally believe) and thus it is irrelevant what your beliefs in life were (or weren't) and what your actions were as well?

Not sure. I do recall that there was a philosopher - Descartes I think it was, but I could be mistaken - who argued that one might as well believe in God and secure your place in Heaven because if it turned out such did not exist you would have lost nothing, and if such did exist you would have gained everything. Furthermore, if such did exist and you did not believe you would have lost everything.

Personally, while I do comprehend the reasoning present in that argument, I do not approve of it's fearmongering (IMO). I do not care much for organized religion and much prefer to focus on individual and secular spirituality.
