Hmmm... Bioware invested a lot in Quarians in ME2. Of all the races that existed in ME1, they were the only ones to get some special attention in ME2:
In ME1, you never see the females of Krogan, Salarian, Turian, Volus, Elcor, etc. and I'm pretty sure that there were no male Quarians around either. In ME2, Quarians get the males added and even distinct voice acting, while the other races all have the same voice. We got to see the flotilla and got an Idea on how the Admiralty thinks.
This leads me to think that the Quarians will play a part in ME2.

I hesitating in posting this but, I do want to say thanks to all of you. After playing me2 all I could think about was Tali (and I'm happily married). I put her wallpaper on my laptop and phone. It's like I was obsessed and was starting to think there was something seriously wrong with me. I had major spine surgery (4 screws and pins) a few months ago and am on some pretty good pain killers and I find my emotions are really close to the surface lately, I'm normally a very stoic in my personal life and only let my wife in, now she's said I am more loving towards my family. It's funny how a wonderful quarian girl found her way in to my heart and helped open it. So thanks for letting me share and knowing I am not alone.

I think they just find your... over-obsessiveness? Zealousness? Or... enthusiasm? a bit off-putting. I'm not really sure what to call this level of fandom some of you have adopted, but it is a little odd (and off-putting to some) at times.

Just want you guys to know, I always played with Tali after she joined my squad in ME1, and I continued to do so after I discovered you could recruit her again in ME2. Also, I was originally romancing Miranda for my first playthrough, but gave her the hand as soon as I cought glimse of a chance to romance Tali. And I can honeslty say, I would happily go through 500 reincarnations of living hell, just to have a 1/1'000'000 chance to be in Shepards shoes in ME2, there with Tali.

I do agree, some of Tali's fans are a little over zealous. Though, that doesn't mean we all are.

You should consider going through 500.000.000 hells for a 100% chance. I would.
But of course only if ME3 is survivable for both Tali and Shep.
