Garrus: Remember we all used to stand around and ask you about the Flotilla?

Tali: I don't want to talk about it.

Garrus: But....

Tali: I have a shotgun.

Garrus: Moving on.


Or something like that, I can't remember the exact words, but made me crack up.

 


Now that sir was pure win.. . and funny  as all hell... of Garrus I would i have to promptly  shoot  Garrus and throw him out the nearest air lock.. .but still funny

Just so everyone knows, in case you dont already. The ealier you get Legion, the more of your crew will likely die in the final mission.

reeeaaahhhhlllyy I didn't know that. i was thinking about trying to get him & then take him to Haelstrom to recruit Tali & see what happens

It's doable. I've seen it on youtube.

I was afraid of that. I usually leave the Reaper IFF mission for close to last, so Legion's loyalty mission is all that's left. I've been wanting to bring him around to other missions for giggles.

Legion is the only Geth I would spare from total annihliation, he's my fourth favorite character in the game, second favorite new character.

Just notice that Bioware put that light behind Tali when you first Meet her to add to alot of dramatic effect. Now i needed to figure out WHY they had her be the first of the old crew you meet... There are a lot things that keep pointing to Shepherd and Tali being the Canon Relationship

More than just it being the best fit there are a lot of subtle hints they drop too...  first and for most why  is  it her that you first run into... it could have been anyone from  Ashley to Kaiden to Random  NPC number 13... but its Tali.  I am going to keep playing and look for  little things and keep yall posted.

Just my thinking here but...Wouldent the default Shepard represent the closest that BioWare will likely ever come to releasing a 'canon' version of events? And assuming that wouldent this mean that 'canon' Shepard doesnt have a love interest?

The Window,  for me its usually Charge followed by  a full clip of SMG  with Incinerate ammo to the face.

I waste so much ammo that way.  Whenever Tali gets incapacitated, I do my best to locate the jerk who did it, and proceed to unload a clip of ammo into their corpse.

Tali does seem rather fragile this time around.  I tend to keep her behind me, while sending out my expendable squadmate as a pointman.

I just didn't take her unless I had to on Insanity. I knew she'd die pretty quickly, and tried to take her when her skillset was the most useful (which, sadly, was not all that often).

I used Tali for all of the Collector Base except the Ducts part. I was playing as a vanguard and I gotta say Drone kicked ass for distraction Harbringer while you shotgun him in the face. But I also was overly protective of Tali. Anyone close to her was primary target.

Explosive Drones not really worth it, for whoever asked. Niether is attack Drone really. At least not on Insanity which is what I play at. The damage just isnt enough for such a long cooldown for 4 points. Better to put them in Energy drain.

Also I found Legion to be the most fragile player. I swear that stupid machine was dead w/in the first 5 seconds of every battle.

Must be a upgrade issue. Nobody is fragile for me. Also commanding them to take cover might help you.

I was always under the impression that ME was one of the few franchises without a Canon  I remember in one interview, the interviewer asked a question in which he said something about there being no real canon, and Casey Hudson agreed. Not that I'm complaining tho, I'd be all for the Tali Romance being set in stone

Agree also. I think the way they let Shep into the inner working of a Quarian trial & get to see the infighting that (and I hope) that Shep will have a major role in helping either the Quarians retake their homeworld, or broker a peace treaty in which the Quarians live w/ the Geth. I mean think about it, where else is Shep going to go? Back to the Alliance? They turned their backs on him as did the council. Stay w/ Cerberus? i don't think so - no trust

True, it's the most consistent friendship, let alone relationship, in the whole of ME and didn't feel simply tacked on for the benefit of the fans.  I have confidence in ME3.

Well, for Me3, there'll have to be at least a baseline canon. In case someone doesn't have an ME2 save game / has an ME2 save game where Shepard died(which is hard to believe, but whatever.)

Without an ME2 save with Shepard alive, in ME3, you'll use the 'canon Shepard'. And of course they'll make this canon Shepard have choices, like the canon Shepard in ME2 romanced Ashley, destroyed the Council, etc.
