An admirable movement. It's nice to see so many Tali fans. I like her character, too.
However, it's also important to remember that she is a potential casualty in the Suicide Mission. If anyone truly wants to keep her alive, make sure she survives to meet you again in ME3.
As for future narratives, it seems quite inevitable that Tali will have a minor role in ME3, even if she lives through the Suicide Mission in ME2. Much in the way that Liara and Ashley/Kaidan were casually set aside (for now), Tali must move on, leave Shepard, and bring her valuable knowledge of the Geth (and some of Normandy's technology) to her people. I for one, would be sad to see her go, but her destiny lies elsewhere.
I think they'll all be in ME3. After all, why did we spend so much time recruiting all these people and gain their trust just to see them leave?
Unless me3 is right after (less than 6 months) after me2 I don't think Mordin will be in it, he is 50. I'm not sure about Thane either, but maybe his son?? I just hope it's not another find, recruit, gain loyalty rehash.

Was just fighting the Thorian in ME1, and in between rounds of combat, all of a sudden Tali just disappeared and her name at the bottom left showed her as dead. Worst of all, it wouldn't let me revive her! thankfully she came back once the Thorian was defeated, but it was a pain in the ass fighting those creepers with just one other squadmate!
Did you spend points on Unity?

Agree, especially if they are going all out ( I'm hoping for Fallout 3 longevity 60+hrs a playthrough)
I rather prefer Biowares 30 hours of great dialogue and storytelling, to Bethesdas 60 hours of wandering in an open world. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy playing both thoroughly; but I dunno what I'd do if ME3 had even less dialogue than ME has.

Concur. But doubt Bioware would do that again. But have to wait for ME3 to find out.

Agreed. Zaeed is actually pretty damn cool once you get him talked out of his single-minded vendetta (for the time being) as Paragon Shepard. Certainly a good man to have on your side in a fight given his encyclopedic volumes of hands-on combat and psychological warfare.

Yeah, her storyline as an LI and a member of Shepard's ship had far too much emphasis on it for Tali to just "move on".
Also, I will post this....AGAIN.

"Mass Effect 3 has been reported to already be in the planning stages. What things would you like to see improved from the end of the development cycle of Mass Effect 2 to Mass Effect 3?
* I think the biggest thing is first of all the resolution of all the plots, all the decisions players have made throughout. Being able to play and experience all the surviving cast members, all the characters people liked. That’s one big part of it.
The other part though is really down to the feedback we’ll get from fans having played Mass Effect 2. That’s going to be our biggest focus is understanding the way people play our games and trying to make them better based on what they say about them. "
Enough with the negativity.

Neither Mordin or Thane are dying anytime soon(Unless on the mission) people and will be around in the third game.. Thane is Dying slowly and on average Salarians live to be 50... the Doctor will go beyond that average by a few years
