Quick, you are sitting wherever you may be, and this very moment an escape pod SMASHES into your room, causeing a lot of damage, but it remains in your room, not going through any more floors. The pod opens, and a very disoriented Tali'Zorah Vas Normandy exits the pod.
What happens?!

strange question - what's up with the trash compactor in his room?
I'm not sure. It seems like it's just there for show, as in "Look. We really went in to detail". It's a nice little touch but doesn't seem to really affect the actual game. I liken it to that "push-the-red-button-endlessly" phenomenon that hit the interwebs some years back. The mindless monotony of pressing the buttons somehow producing a pleasant experience.
It's kind of nice to play with after you've finished the suicide mission and all the side missions. I always hope for something random to show up. Like what if Legion showed up in the compactor?
ummmmmmmm... Tali... Do you know anything about Legion's "accident"?

Well, presuming I didn't have a heart attack from all the happy I'd suddenly be experiencing, I would immediately offer to help her up, and then would try to aid her in any way I could. I would toss my old life aside and do whatever was needed to help her out.Lord_Moose wrote...

I would then face a profound delimma over the fact that I already have a girlfriend I love and care deeply for. I'm not sure what I would do.

Agreed. Zaeed is actually pretty damn cool once you get him talked out of his single-minded vendetta (for the time being) as Paragon Shepard. Certainly a good man to have on your side in a fight given his encyclopedic volumes of hands-on combat and psychological warfare.
I was so surprised when Shepard punched him in the face for paragon option! Was an epic moment.

I've been following this thread for a few days now and just got done romancing tali on my somewhat renegade Shepard on play through two. I hope she stays alive in mass effect 3 and she can still be with shepard. Now to make sure she lives through the suicide mission.
Also won't you all get into these pods over in the corner. I promise that they won't turn you into goo or anything. >_>
Welcome to the ranks of "Talimancers". Pods you say? Hmm. I dunno. If they are so harmless, I'm sure you wouldn't mind demonstrating the proper procedure for getting comfy in them yourself, right? :innocent:
Grey goo? Sounds like good test material! Start tests on strengthening Tali's immune system with that!
II dont think that the grey goo works that way but i shall inform my collector masters of it and get testing...wait they are all dead:( so much for working for the collectors oh well.
So who wants free collector pods that Toltally don't turn people to goo.
Also thanks for the welcome into the ranks.

I would immediately check for dangers in the area, if all's clear then I would jump to her side and help her check for tears in her suit, see if she needs aid, etc

Logical, true, but try telling that to yourself in person over the screams of the men and women you can save right then and there if you choose to act.
It's a similar story with the hijacked military base that unleashes two Javelin Mk. II nuclear missiles. Save the strategic spaceport (which will allow rebuilding in the long term) or save hundreds of thousands of colonists (resulting in the destruction of the spaceport and the eventual evacuation of the colonists)? That one tore at me because I tend to take the long-term view and strategize but for me it came down to this: Government/military exists to protect it's citizens. While it is possible that saving the colonists might lead to more deaths in the future, there did not appear to be any continuous threat in that area beyond the immediate missile crisis. It would likely be of little comfort to the colonists to hear that they were sacrificed when they could have been saved by the press of a button simply to keep a strategic space port (which I might add, could also be rebuilt if the political will is present to do so). It's all to easy to have lose sight of the people you are supposed to be serving, whether it's in business or in government. They become numbers. When you have the opportunity to make a positive change for a person, it's something of a gift. Shepard echoes the same sentiment while speaking to an Asari on Illium. Not everyone gets the chance to make a difference.

Make sure she's ok first of all, then try to get a grasp of the situation and why she crashed into my house. Then, I'd offer her a bed to sleep on, do whatever it takes to get her back to her people. Finally, when it's time for her to leave, she offers to take me with her, which of course I accept. Then, we live happily ever after

If her translator has malfunctioned (oh hell) i'd try my best with hand gesture and tone of voice. Then i'd probably show her the Mass effect game i was playing, (After she gets focused on where she is) trying to convey the fact that I am Shepard.
"Wh-Where am i?"
Tali'Zorah Nar Rayya?
"Yes!? H-how do you know my name?"
... This will be hard to explain...

I would also try to hide the pod and once she is ok help her contact the fleet while trying not to get caught by the government because they would experiment on her.
