Your all forgetting that you can also have NO love interest... That will probably mean that it won't have that big a role in the plot.

An interesting idea. Alternatively BioWare might also pull a stunt similar to what they did with ME2 whereby your chances for success (and living to tell the tale) dramatically increase if you put the time in to recruit the whole team and gain their loyalty, but in this instance have that apply to a romantic relationship. I can see it now: Just as our brave hero/heroine is about to succumb to the nefarious forces of the Reapers, his/her true love helps spur him/her on near the end just as all hope seems lost. Melodramatic? Perhaps, but it can make for on-the-edge story telling if done well, and story telling is certainly something BioWare can do.

Personally I will not be disappointed if our love interest is not going to be the pivotal factor in the end game, as long as there is a deep and compelling love story to pursue with a given love interest during the course of the main story. If the love interest theme does end up playing a prominent role in the end sequence that's okay by me as well.

I agree. Spending time in your love interest might help her/you survive the final battle. As if you don't put some time in her she might die.
(that what you were trying to say rite?)

But yes, give me a happy ending (marrige, house on homeworld) and i'll be satisfied too!

You make it seem like the "Save one and the other dies" thing is the only way for the love interest theme to play a prominent role in the main story :P

*Sigh* ... Really?

Tali will play the same roll in ME3 that she's always been intended to... She can't be too pivotal because she can die in ME2. Also, can we stop with the "BIOWARE DO THIS IN ME3 GODDAMN IT!" threads and just let them make the game they want to make? Please?

Well that's a silly suggestion. It's not about making Bioware's dream game and just assuming the fans are gonna eat it up. Game dev's actually look at stuff like this. They want to know what the fan does and doesn't like about their games so that they can make the next one that much better. I agree that some threads might go a little overboard, but we are all just simple Tali fans looking to voice that we like Tali and would like to see her in ME3 very much. We aren't a horde of ravenous monsters threatening to brutally murder all the game dev's if Tali isn't in the game exactly as we specify and with a major role in the plot, we just want to see Tali back. Just like Garrus fans want to see Garrus, and Miranda fans want to see Miranda. We just happen to have the biggest thread(s).

True that. Out of all the fan threads and other such threads i have found the tali one to be the most welcoming of outside opinion and actualy at times have quite constructive converstations.

I just love people logic "Since everyone can die everything is moot" so thus meaning me2 event have no holding what so ever? That Bioware cannot work on trying to make every event lead to something? It simple really every place you go to is still there it just means allot more when the character who lived go there with you.

a question you are traveling on a road with the two people you love the most.... you come to a Sphinx . the Sphinx  put  forth a question...

"To pass someone  traveling with you must die... Chose?"   The Galaxy or Tali?   that answer is simple... I die... and save them both.

I like your example...and your answer. Though your loved one(s) then have to live with the consequences and potential guilt which might lead some to kill themselves as well making it a noble, if wasted, gesture. Still, I much prefer your solution to the alternatives.

Its  not a best solution but its the only way i can see bringing the madness to the end.  it what the hero does make the hard choices...

Agreed.

Hey did anybody else notice that in ME1, tali has a bigger nose then in ME2?

I'm thinking that ME2 is part of the face you are supposed to see.

Do I? Not my intent. I do believe that is one of several possibilities however, and I fully expect BioWare to implement it. If they do not however, and providing that there is still some good chunks of romancing to be found in-game, I won't mind. ^_^

Nay say I! I'd sooner sacrifice my own life (or my Shepard's life as the case may be,) than sacrifice Tali's or any of the other potential love interests'. The ending to ME3 I would like to experience first and foremost is the "And they lived happily ever after" one. Chin up fellow! :D We are not beaten yet!
