I think it would be interesting if Tali was extremely attractive, by human standards, but she herself was fairly ignorant of that. So few people ever have seen her face. She says herself "I've never shown my face to anyone before... I'm ready to show you." If nobody ever told her she was beautiful, if nobody ever called her attractive or cute or pretty, how would she see herself?

I think that's something that made the final part of her romance so touching. She takes her mask off. She shows Shepard her face. She's so nervous. He sees "her" for the first time. How will he react? Will he find her hideous? Will she be attractive in his eyes? She babbles and rants and.... then he smiles.... and she shuts up and pounces on him.

... It's like Shepard made her feel beautiful for the first time in her life.

Good speculation. Psychology/sociology not strongst fields of study. Showing face definately large symbol of vulnerability. Also symbol of trust. Very powerful. Need assistance from colleague with knowledge of "soft sciences."

The way I see Tali is like a shy school-girl (no, not THAT type of school-girl), who avoids contact with people. Not because she thinks she is ugly underneath and a relationship would ruin it, but because she knows she is unique, and only the right person will realize that. Shepard.

I don't think she finds herself ugly because she doesn't know what the standards are, so in a way, it's like her fan's wanting, but not wanting to see her face. She wants to know if she is ugly or pretty, but then again, she doesn't, hence the hesitation and "fear". But then, at that one moment where her sentences are broken, Shepard reaches for the mask, takes it off, and suddenly, her past is behind her. Her fears are gone and she now knows that she found the one. 

That is why I will not sit here on this forum and allow people to tell me that she will die, or that she will have minor appearances in ME3, because it isn't possible for Bioware to wreck the classic car they just spent years restoring.

This is too true, my friend. These two posts sum up why I love Tali's romance in ME2, and I am positive that Bioware will be as awesome at delivering the goods as they always are.

You're trying pretty hard to irritate us, but it's not working, since what you try to say contradicts facts set forth in ME2.

Like how she said she had never trusted any quarian enough to just link suit environments, let alone sex.

I do however think she probably spent long nights fantasizing about Shepard...Heh...Heh...Heh.

Did you hear the ad for the play on the Citadel? holly crap that was funny. I listened to a lot of ads, all were classic. Cmr Shep we see would made *voice change* 0 credits last year.......

With the exception of the archetypical pointy-ears. Which just made me realize how un-noticable Asari's ears are. I never really though about it.

It's a good point, and it likely sums up her feelings at the moment very well.
