Hmm, complements on the composition. I'm a (now graduated) music major. Never composed anything of any length though.
Thank you. I remember some of the music majors I sang with in choir with. I majored in political science with a minor in theater arts. Later continued that field with the aforementioned Master's degree in strategic studies.
What made you decide to choose music as your major and what would you ideally like to do with it (if anything)?

Moth, I haven't been able to find your work yet. Still sifting through pages.
Oh, and under the mask... I'm expecting something ever-so-slightly snakelike. Probably a flat nose, and some neck ridges. This is just going off of the curves and lines visible in Quarian suits and the Geth, which were probably built to [roughly] resemble the Quarians.

I've always been pretty talented with performing music, flute and to a lesser degree, voice. I plan to be a teacher of music in some capacity, wouldn't mind some glamour for my career as well. It would be awesome to become a part of an orchestra that travelled a lot, maybe try my hand at composing, eventually.
*ponders how a couple with differing amino acid-based genetics would get along*
Under the mask? We've seen pretty clear silhouettes under the mask. Long, curved nose on at least a few Quarians, just a little longer than normal humans, and their eyes are strongly slanted. So I imagine them looking very sleek, very similar to humans, probably different coloration.
I just love their gypsy mystique

...Yeah....And at this rate I'll end up a bit teary eyed.Oh! Not to spam the thread with this, but I figured you might appreciate these (especially the second one), Moth. I cooked them up this morning:
Mass Effect universe tribute
Battle March
You sir have a gift!!!
Thank you very much my friend! It's a thought I've carried with me for many years: If I could be modestly comfortable living of being involved in music/singing I could be quite happy. Some of my happiest moments were when I performed in high school and university choirs, as well as solo lessons and performances. I love being able to be creative, and not just in terms of strategic matters (my Master's degree is in Strategic Studies).
Well i'll be sure to discuss any of our future operations with you in the future.
ISeriously though, the guitar at the end of Battle March was a stroke of genius. It's good that you've kept up your talents over the years. I've been doing the same, mostly writing but this is the first time i've acutally found an audience and I haven't felt so gratified in my life! Do you still hope to make a living from your skills one day?
Believe it or not, I only started making these sorts of compositions in late Nov. - early Dec. 2009. I've always loved music though, but since I'm terrible at maths and music is based upon mathematical constructs I stayed away from it except as a hobby and source of enjoyment. While I did eventually notice that I began deciphering the sheets of music for the songs that were performed, I've always learned first and foremost by ear, methodical practice and consequent fine tuning. While I'm not an "old man" there is no denying that I'm not getting any younger so I'm not precisely optimistic about making a living off the arts (I enjoy poetry and writing as well although it's been a long, long time since I wrote either type). In the words of John Lennon, "Life is what happens while you are busy making other plans", and before you know it you are living a life very different from the one you may have envisioned. Ah well. I am comfortable for the time being, I have a fantastic family, some good friends though most are scattered around the globe, and I've had the opportunity to chase after the main challenges and goals I sought out to start with and succeeded in tackling them (ex. higher education, military service, a well paid job, etc).
Logically there should still be time to do other things, though who really knows just how much time they have in this place? Perhaps it's best to live life and pursue the things one cares for as though there were no dress rehearsal. That's not advocating living haphazardly without forethought and consideration, but rather that one figures out what it is they truly yearn for and actively pursue concrete plans to achieve whatever dreams are at stake. I'm not actively pursuing music nor writing nor politics at this point in my life (though practicing with these little compositions of mine while constantly keeping an eye on global events, analysing them and contemplating how a society might turn out if directed in certain ways do go some ways in prepping, IMO). In regards to writing, music, video work, etc. the internet is a godsend. It allows people without the connections nor the resources to take a stab at getting involved in the creative process without first having to gain the attention of the industry giants.

Yes! That's how I initially envisioned Tali and the Quarians as well! An ivory white, soft edged python like face...somehow made attractive by human standards (I'll leave that up to the artists).
P.S. Ever wonder if the Geth's one headlight was just for practical purposes or because the Quarians might only have one eye?

Very true, though in the end you never know who may be watching. i have to say it doesn't sound like you've only been doing it recently. I guess you must simply be one of those people who are just 'born' with it, like a sixth sense.
