I undertand the fear but i don't think they'd put all that effort in just for it to go to waste. i think they'll have back up measures in place.
It would never happen, but if it did... Man... The trilogy would be ruined.
Considering they have built a huge fanbase and Mass Effect is a beloved franchise right now, and also the fact that the second game revolved around building up a crew to complete the mission, this would never happen.

Ah ha! I thought so! I did all her errands even though they earned me Renegade points (I completed ME1 with a full Paragon bar and just one - yes o-n-e - Renegade point. ME2 is darker, even while being set on pursuing a Paragon path I accrued numerous Renegade points. Good on BioWare for forcing the player to be a bit more dark and edgy given the events that unfolded.

I do indeed - well, soon. It's the reason for my less focused posting just now. I keep switching back and forth between this forum and a little number I'm working on. It should be ready before too long. In my mind's eye I'm picturing an escape and why not have it be Tali, Shepard and company escaping? Doesn't really matter whom or what, just as long as it is hectic and frantic. It's shaping up nicely!

i'm an adapt so the pull-push combo works great for me... both in and out of ocmbat >.>
